Olde Wrestling: Extravaganza

Olde Wrestling is bringing the Extravaganza back to the Huron County Fairgrounds on Sunday, August 30, and this year’s event will be headlined by former WWE World Heavyweight Champion and current TNA star Nic Nemeth, formerly known to WWE fans as Dolph Ziggler.

Nemeth joins a loaded lineup featuring some of the most recognizable names from Ohio and the surrounding independent wrestling scene, including “MDogg” Matt Cross, Rickey Shane Page, Carson Drake, Marion Fontaine, Gregory Iron, Leela Hall, Joshua Bishop, Cowpoke Paul, Gianni Emricko, Katie Arquette, Derek Dillinger, Gorgeous Gregory, Shelby Wylder, Gino DeCapo and Dick Justice, with more scheduled to appear.

And, as anyone familiar with Olde Wrestling knows, this isn’t exactly your typical independent wrestling show. The promotion’s throwback presentation turns professional wrestling into something closer to an old-fashioned traveling spectacle, and this year’s Extravaganza will also feature live music from Ragtime Rick as part of the afternoon’s festivities.

Doors open at 2:30 PM, with the bell scheduled to ring at 3:00 PM.

General admission tickets are $15 in advance and $20 on the day of the show, while admission for children 10 and under is just $5. Tickets are available through Olde Wrestling and at Miller’s Market in Norwalk.

The event is presented by the Law Office of Paul D. Dolce and Todd Lillo Team / Union Home Mortgage, with support from several Norwalk-area businesses and organizations. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Norwalk Area United Fund.

Between Nic Nemeth, a deep lineup of Ohio favorites and Olde Wrestling’s one-of-a-kind presentation, the Extravaganza is shaping up to be one of the more unusual and exciting wrestling events on Ohio’s late-summer calendar.
