Revolutionary Championship Wrestling

Founded in 2002, Revolutionary Championship Wrestling (RCW) has been a fixture of the Southern Ohio independent wrestling scene for more than two decades. Based in Portsmouth, Ohio, RCW has built a loyal fan base through a combination of homegrown talent, long-running rivalries, championship competition, and special appearances by nationally recognized wrestling stars.

Under the leadership of founder Dirk Cunningham, RCW has presented professional wrestling events throughout the Portsmouth area since its inception, making it one of Ohio’s longest-running active independent promotions. Over the years, the company has showcased numerous wrestlers who would go on to achieve success across the independent wrestling landscape while also providing a platform for local talent to develop and grow.

RCW’s history includes appearances by notable names such as Jerry “The King” Lawler, Al Snow, Big Van Vader, Ricky Morton, The Barbarian, Zach Gowen, Honky Tonk Man, Nikita Koloff, Ivan Koloff, and “Dr. Death” Steve Williams. These appearances, combined with RCW’s own roster of stars, have helped create memorable moments for wrestling fans throughout Southern Ohio.

Today, RCW continues to present live professional wrestling events in the Portsmouth area, carrying forward a tradition that has spanned more than 20 years. With championship titles, annual signature events, and a roster featuring both established veterans and rising talent, RCW remains an important part of Ohio’s independent wrestling community and a destination for fans looking to experience live professional wrestling in the heart of the Ohio River Valley.
