Twas the show before Christmas and all through the back,
Not a creature was stirring not even a rat.
The lights were all hung on the concession stand with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.

The fans they were nestled all snug in the stands,
While visions of bodyslams danced in their heads.

When out in the arena there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my chair to see what was the matter.
Away to ringside I flew like a flash,
Tore through the curtains and ran through the stands.

Anyway….turns out it was not actually St. Nick himself but rather ring announcer Artie Kidwell using his vast knowledge of magic to spread some holiday cheer with a clever disguise.

Dave Nevada defeated Kevin Moore

Flapjack defeated Dewey Brown
At Headlock on Hunger, Dewey Brown was able to beat 2 opponents in a single match. Whether he is able to leap tall buildings in a single bound has yet to be determined but anyone looking to take down Flapjack certainly has a tall order ahead of them. To his credit, Brown held his own throughout the majority of the match bouncing back from whatever offense the big man tossed at him. At one point it looked like he may even score another upset victory here but Flapjack had his trusty horseshoe as always and the great equalizer helped the big man from the country get the big win over Dewey Brown.

Mastodon defeated The Lost Boy
One’s extinct, the other’s just confused. Mastodon was making his singles debut while the Lost Boy was stepping into the XCW ring for the very first time. Had the Lost Boy been able to pick up the victory and make the trip to the pay window, he could’ve gotten himself a GPS system and found his way home. Alas, twas not to be as Zack the Black Ranger showed everyone he’s perfectly capable of standing on his own.

After intermission as St. Artie was attempting to get the 2nd half of the show started, Heather Owens came out and said she would be having a sit in, refusing to leave the ring until she got some competition. She also was quite upset that her birthday had recently passed without so much as a happy birthday wish from any of the fans or any of the XCW locker room or staff. Artie attempted to right the situation by leading the crowd in a chorus of “Happy Birthday To You” but the fans were largely unsupportive of this effort. All was not lost, however, as Nicole came from the concession stand baring a lovely homemade birthday cake for Ms. Owens. Heather questioned the quality of said cake and was generally unappreciative of Nicole’s efforts. Not wanting to let it all go to waste though, Nicole made sure Heather tasted the fruits of her labor by smashing the cake into Heather’s face. From here, it was just absolute chaos with Heather retaliating with pieces of the fallen cake; punches were thrown, friendships were ruined, and I think the makings of a fight were seen. Nicole is not a fully trained professional wrestler though, so it will be interesting to see how this plays out in ’09.

Cody Hawk defeated DJ Tom Sharp
Hawk is one of the best known wrestlers to make a name for himself in the tri-state area but Tom Sharp has been one of the fastest rising stars in the short history of XCW. The two of them put on a great match but still it seemed that perhaps Sharp was not completely focused on the match at hand and it could be that that was his undoing as Hawk was able to pick up the pin in his XCW debut.

DDK defeated Garf Redman

XCW Title Match: Champion Gotti retained vs. Avalanche
As Gotti celebrated after the match, Tom Sharp came sneaking up behind the champion and delivered a devastating powerbomb. The show ended with Sharp standing over the fallen champion holding the XCW title belt. One could assume that this feud between them will continue on into 2009 as Gotti is not likely to let something like that pass.

We would like to thank everyone who braved the first real snow of the season to come out and support XCW and, more importantly, Toys For Tots. We would also like to thank the US Marines for their support of this event and look forward to working with them again in the future. If you would like more information on the Marines or Toys for Tots, please visit one of the websites below. Thank you all for your support of XCW throughout the 2nd half of 2008 and we hope to see you back at the Warsaw Arena on January 10, 2009 for New Year’s Nightmare.

On December 6, 2008, Xtreme Combat Wrestling presents CHRISTMAS CHAOS! Come help us as we help the community with a Toy Drive for Toys for Tots!

This event will take place at the Warsaw Arena at 3509 Warsaw Avenue in Price Hill, OH. Doors open @ 7 PM, Belltime @ 8 PM. Admission is FREE with a NEW, UNWRAPPED TOY! Without a NEW, UNWRAPPED TOY, admission is $10.

On October 25th, the XCW fans witness an intense battle royal to determine the new Xtreme Combat Wrestling Champion. It was mayhem the entire time, finally boiling down to the final two wrestlers…AVALANCHE and THE OTHER DARK MEAT GOTTI!!! The two men battled until AVALANCHE got the upperhand, throwing GOTTI over the top rope, becoming the NEW XCW CHAMPION. The only problem was there was no referee present to witness the win. GOTTI, realizing this, slid back in the ring as the referee returned ringside and threw AVALANCHE over the top rope while AVALANCHE was facing the referee…thus SCREWING AVALANCHE!!! Since then, the XCW Champion GOTTI has been out of control and on an impressive winning streak…doing WHATEVER it takes to get the win. On December 6, 2008, he faces the MONSTER he SCREWED out of the Championship title. Will AVALANCHE get what is rightfully his and end GOTTI’S terror-reign?

After loosing a hard fought battle at Headlock on Hunger to the XCW Champ The Dark Meat Gotti, The Dancing Machine DJ Tom Sharp tries to rebound himself as he takes on the Re- Enforcer Devlin Anderson. Is a win over Anderson the only thing on his mind or is the DJ creating his greatest remix yet? You have to come to find out…

At Fallout things turned ugly, as “The Bulldog” Garf Redman’s newfound white price was faced up against the “Angry Black Man” DDK. What was far from a wrestling match, and closer to an all out brawl, as Garf and DDK exchanged blow after blow! Finally DDK was able to pick up the victory with The DDK Krusher, but now The Bulldog looks to avenge his loss and cause a little chaos of his own!
