As announced at “Rest In Peace”, WWC’s 7th anniversary show, Unbreakable, is returning to its roots as a tournament.

The prize is simple, yet not easily obtained… the winner of the tournament receive a shot that very night against the WWC Heavyweight Champion, in this case, the infamous “Dark Star” Matt Taylor.

The wrestlers have been lining up for more information, with only one of the first round matches known at this time. Current North American Heavyweight Champion Aaron Williams, a favorite to win, is facing off against the man he beat for the title, Terry Reines, in the tournament’s opening round. The winner of this match will not only advance, they’ll receive a bye into the Final Round, potentially giving them a huge advantage over their opponent.

Expect more information on the first round pairings over the next week, and then be ready to celebrate the WWC’s 7th birthday with us on November 13th in Aberdeen OH!

Unbreakable: First Round Pairings Revealed!

The first round of matches in the Unbreakable tournament have been relayed to us at WWCWeb.com. Our 7th Anniversary Show looks to be jam-packed with wrestling action, and these matches showcase the depth of the WWC roster. Who will rise above the others to become “Unbreakable” and face the WWC Heavyweight Champion Matt Taylor that evening?

Dangerous Damien Kass vs. DJ Tom Sharp
DDK has been on a tear, modeling his moves after tactics used throughout Ric Byrne’s career in order to get the attention of the Executive Committee. DJ Tom Sharp remains one of the most popular men on our roster, having come very close to claiming the North American title earlier this year. Even if they don’t win the entire tournament, a first round victory by either man could be the “breakout” they need to propel in to World Heavyweight title contention.

Devlin Anderson vs. Ultra Mega Masked Homicide
Devlin was the last person added to the tournament by virtue of his non-title victory over Matt Taylor at Rest In Peace. Although it looks like Devlin has Matt’s number, how would he fare against the vicious Taylor after a full night of matches? As for UMMH, we’ve seen surprising upset victories in tournaments of this nature before… can he put away the “Re-Enforcer” for a much needed career boost?

Nikita Allanov vs. JT Stahr
Nearly one year ago, Allanov and Stahr faced off with the World title at stake in a match that thrilled the audience and left them wanting more. Since then, Allanov has focused on his tag team partnership with Eddie Gonzales, while Stahr has a string of victories against a diverse run of singles talent. Either man here has a good chance to go all the way to the end, so this will be one to keep your eye on. Will Stahr seal the deal for the chance to reclaim his former title, or will Nikita prove he’s as good as he says he is?

Dave Nevada vs. Justin Neal
Nevada’s return to WWC has seen him mix it up at all levels of the company, with somewhat mixed results. In each outing he’s appeared sharp and ready, but has fallen prey to a few devious tactics from the less honest set of wrestlers in the WWC. Justin Neal has been working hard to stand out amongst that list of rulebreakers, and a victory here could give start a winning pattern for the arrogant youngster.

Aaron Williams vs. Terry Reines
There are no two competitors in the WWC who know each other as well as Aaron and Terry. These former tag team partners ended up on opposite sides of the spectrum, having traded a number of victories back and forth, most recently Williams’ win over Terry for the North American title. With all the confusion surrounding International incident, it appears that Terry might be softening towards Aaron, showing him the respect that the rest of the locker room already gives Williams. However, the winner of this first round match not only advances in the tournament, but gets a bye into the final round, meaning that they’ll be the most rested competitor. We know both of them have the conditioning to go at it as hard as possible, so the winner here has to be a favorite to face Taylor at the end of the evening.

Fans, this will truly be a show you don’t want to miss as the WWC celebrates its 7th Anniversary! President Patrick Black has promised us at least two more matches on top of the tournament, so you’re going to get the most bang for your buck when WWC presents Unbreakable on November 13th at the Aberdeen Municipal Building!

Unbreakable Update: Patrick Black Schedules Tag Team Title Match

WWC President Patrick Black has found himself back in the thick of things, as a loophole in the WWC bylaws allowed him to take a managerial position in addition to his duties as President. Fortunately, the remainder of the Executive Committee forbade Patrick Black to schedule title matches for his tag team, The Brotherhood (Marvel Trice & Princeton Travis), citing a conflict of interest. Angered, Black has led his men on a guerilla warfare campaign against Will Profit’s Solar Powers (Jake Ashworth & Eclipso), hoping to goad the champions into putting their titles on the line. So far, the reigning WWC Tag Team Champions have held their ground, refusing to be baited into the match… but it appears that Patrick Black has found another loophole to exploit.

“Both Cody Hawk and Dean Jablonski have earned title shots that they were never granted. Although the WWC Heavyweight Champion is already scheduled to face the winner of the Unbreakable tournament on November 11th, I have decided that Cody Hawk will have the next title opportunity,” stated Patrick. “As a warmup for that, he and Dean Jablonski will be facing the Solar Powers for the WWC Tag Team Championship at Unbreakable!”

Cody Hawk has held multiple World titles in the past, including WWC’s, and has been lobbying for an opportunity to reclaim that title. Dean Jablonski is not only a former WWE contracted wrestler and a bit of a tag team specialist, but he was prevented from cashing in his King Of Extreme title opportunity due to JT Stahr’s tour of Thailand and Japan, so technically, Patrick may have a valid case here. That aside, it looks to everyone that Black is abusing his power in the hopes of weakening the Solar Powers in advance of a potential Solar Powers vs. Brotherhood confrontation. One would have to think that Black’s ideal solution here would be for his former Administration cohorts to win the tag titles, then for Cody Hawk to win the WWC Heavyweight Title, potentially forcing the Tag Team Titles to be vacated… something that would likely give the Brotherhood an opportunity to capture the belts for the first time.

On the other side of the fence, WWC Executive Committee member Ric Byrne has been very vocal about the need for Patrick Black to be monitored and safeguarded… however, as Talent Relations Manager, Byrne’s authority is limited. Will Ric have anything to say about this most recent abuse of Black’s powers?

Fans, we guarantee that this match is going to be off the charts… we’ve seen the popular duo of Ashworth and Eclipso flourish under Will Profit’s influence, rising to meet every challenge. We’ve also seen the previous antics of Hawk and Jablonski, two physically imposing individuals that will do anything to win… if you’re not with us at the Aberdeen Municipal Building on November 13th for our 7th Anniversary show, you’re going to miss one of the most talked about nights in WWC History!

Unbreakable Breaking News!

Earlier today, the WWC web team learned that WWC stars Eddie Gonzales and Terry Reines were both pulled from the 7th Anniversary Show, Unbreakable, due to injuries sustained in an off-site altercation between the duo.

This significantly changed the face of the tournament, as Nikita no longer has his comrade to back him up and Aaron Williams loses his opponent, leading speculation as to whether Aaron would receive the bye into the finals orginally slated to go to the winner of the match between him and Terry Reines.

WWC President Patrick Black announced that he had a solution to the problem… he pulled Williams from the tournament entirely, instead forcing him to defend his North American title against a powerhouse known as Chris Carnage!

“I felt that it would be a shame to not have the WWC North American Championship defended on our 7th Anniversary Show. Although I’m certain Aaron is disappointed in being removed from the tournament, I feel that it is in the best interests of the WWC fans that they be treated to a match between Aaron Williams and Chris Carnage.”

Given that Aaron was a favorite to win the tournament (and possibly win back the WWC World Heavyweight Championship from Matt Taylor), this almost seems to be a move made by Patrick to protect Matt Taylor from facing Williams again. Furthermore, although Carnage will be making his debut for the WWC, he is known is some circles as a brutal behemoth that has been managed in the past by – you guessed it – Patrick Black.

If you’re wondering (like we are) whether Patrick is on the up and up or if this is another one of his patented devious tactics, the only way to find out for sure will be to join us THIS Saturday, November 13th, as the WWC present Unbreakable in Aberdeen, OH!

The night started with a gloating Patrick Black in the ring. He detailed that, despite the efforts of “other WWC Executive Committee members”, he retained his position as President while also now managing the Brotherhood team of Marvel Trice and Princeton Travis. He declared that the Brotherhood’s rise had just begun, with their next goal being the domination of the WWC Tag Team division. To that end, Patrick Black challenged the Solar Powers to a match for the WWC Tag Team Titles. This prompted The Solar Powers manager, Will Profit, to storm the ring with a chair in hand. Once Patrick bailed out, Profit opened the chair, sat down, and refused the challenge. Profit stated that the Brotherhood hadn’t earned a title shot yet, and that Patrick’s cheap tricks weren’t going to get his team to jump the rankings.

As Profit left, WWC Heavyweight Champion Matt Taylor appeared, complaining to Black about his title match later that night against Devlin Anderson. The “Re-Enforcer” himself appeared, explaining that Taylor was afraid of facing Anderson, as Taylor has never beaten his longtime rival. Black decided to “tweak” the match, making it non-title, with Devlin gaining entrance to the Unbreakable tournament in November if he defeated Taylor. Furthermore, Patrick stated that he was placing a referee that he “could trust” into the match, removing Senior Official Steve Helpenstine as the referee for the main event.

Our first match of the evening featured the Brotherhood taking on the team of Dave Nevada and DJ Tom Sharp. Nevada and Sharp worked well together for their first outing, although the underhanded tactics of the Brotherhood allowed them to take home the tainted victory when Travis pinned Sharp while holding onto Sharp’s tights.

The next match had International Incident’s Eddie Gonzales facing off against Malo Pescado. Gonzales came into the match very overconfident, only to get frustrated as Pescado tenaciously kicked out of a devastating array of moves. Angered, Gonzales left the ring to retrieve a chair, but as he went to swing at Pescado… Malo took off their mask! The wrestler everyone thought to be a Louisiana native turned out to be none other than Heather Owens! Stunned by this revelation, Gonzales was swept up in an inside cradle for the surprise win by Malo Pes- er, Heather!

Justin Neal hoped to capitalize on a sneak attack against JT Stahr, but the multiple time former WWC World Heavyweight champion turned back Neal’s assault, walking out with the pin and the win.

DDK appeared next, bringing with him Ozborne, the US Army service member he had attacked at the last show. The newly christened “Oz” let everyone know that he realized that DDK embraced the Army philosophy of attacking from any angle, and that he had begun training under DDK to become a professional wrestler. DDK explained that this was also his next attempt to emulate the career of Ric Byrne by finding undeveloped talent and bringing them under his wing to form a group. “Penthouse Playboy” Jimmy Malloy took offense at this, and ended up in a match against DDK. After Malloy pulled out the win, DDK did something totally unexpected – he praised Malloy, saying that although DDK didn’t like Jimmy, he was perhaps wrong about whether Malloy was ready to challenge for the North American title.

At the halfway point of our evening, “Canadian Terror” Terry Reines addressed the crowd, saying that as far as he was concerned, International Incident was over. Further, he intended to prove that it was Nikita Allanov and Eddie Gonzales’ own flaws that caused them to lose the WWC Tag Team Title to the Solar Powers by picking at random Ultra Mega Masked Homicide to be his tag partner for the evening. We’ll never know exactly how that one would have ended, because at the end of the match, Nikita Allanov pulled Terry off the ring apron as Reines was preparing to accept the tag from Homicide. The Solar Powers looked like they were going to intercede in the conflict, however they were distracted when they halted another potential attack from the Brotherhood, who had been watching the match from ringside.

Afterwards, Nikita took to the microphone and stated that International Incident weren’t “done” – they were just “done with Terry Reines”. Nikita said he also had something to prove, as he was going to take back the North American title that Reines had lost from Aaron Williams. That match proved to be one of the most spectacular of the evening, with Allanov looking like he was going to live up to his promise with the help of interference from his partner, Eddie Gonzales. However, the sudden return of Terry Reines to the ring nullified Gonzales and allowed Aaron to pick up the win and retain his title. Afterwards, Reines presented the title to Williams, stating that he found out that in the first round of November’s Unbreakable tournament, Reines would face Williams again. Williams cautiously accepted Reines extended hand, shaking it and sealing the deal for next month.

“Black Sheep” Bennet Cole had talked a big game in his interviews posted on WWCweb.com… and he backed that up as he took on “Undertaker” Shawn Parks in Parks signature game, the Casket Match! Dressed from head to toe as the Undertaker, Parks fought the larger Cole blow for blow, the two seeming pretty evenly matched and willing to go all out to win. A pivotal turning point in the match came when Parks went for the Tombstone, only to see Cole reverse it into an inverted DDT. The direct impact of Parks’ head to the canvas seemed to snap him out of his “homage” mode, fully reasserting himself as “Superstar” Shawn Parks as he renewed his offensive and finally put the brash youngster away in the casket for the win.

In the main event of the evening, Devlin Anderson announced that he was sure Taylor was going to pull out every dirty trick he knew – so Anderson had pulled one of his own, deciding for one night to secure the services of a manager – none other than the man who helped take Taylor to the top, Violent Bob Humperdink! With Bob keeping the referee honest, Anderson defeated WWC Heavyweight Champion Matt Taylor in a non-title match to secure entry in the Unbreakable tournament in November.

The WWC Executive Committee today announced an addition to their membership. Ric Byrne has been added to the Committee, filling the currently vacant role of Talent Relations Manager.

Ric Byrne’s history with the WWC begins at the very formation of the company. He’s been a solid competitor on both sides of the fence, holding and defending every major title in the WWC over the course of the past 7 years. Recent injuries forced him to the side, an event which frustrated Byrne to no end. Not content to be a background player, Byrne has been working hard at every WWC show since, trying to find a continued role within the company.

Executive Committee Chairperson Dustin Walken commented that “We’re very pleased that Ric Byrne has accepted the offer to join our ranks. His wealth of experience inside the wrestling industry along with his dedicated work ethic have made him the ideal candidate to manage, mentor and evaluate the WWC’s roster of talent on a permanent basis. We look forward to seeing the positive impact Mr. Byrne’s continued guidance to our established and upcoming talent will have.”

This does pose the question – Dangerous Damien Kass has been hinting for the past several months that he’s found a new mentor, with all the signs pointing to it being Ric Byrne. In fact, DDK was recently suspended for a show due to using Ric Byrne’s banned finishing manuever, the 3rd Degree. Byrne has denied the claim repeatedly, stating that DDK is “just using my name to try and get attention” – but then how does that mesh with the above photo, sent to us last week by an anonymous source? Are Byrne and DDK engaging in a war of the words in public, or is there more to DDK’s claims than Byrne has admitted?

Either way it goes, this relationship is one to keep your eye on as DDK is available to return from suspension at TitleClash 4 – but so far, no match has been announced featuring DDK. We here at wwcweb.com may not b e able to guarantee DDK has a match at the next show, but we can tell you that much like Ric Byrne, DDK can’t stand to sit on the sidelines. We’ll be keeping an eye out for DDK this Saturday at TitleClash 4 for sure!

The Executive Committee of the World Wrestling Coalition has promised that the week leading up to TitleClash 4 will be filled with a number of announcements about the event and the company. Fans, this first one is a doozy – the scheduled match between WWC Heavyweight Champion Matt Taylor and challenger Aaron Williams will now be fought under Last Man Standing rules!

For those of you who missed Midsummer’s Nightmare, Aaron Williams started the night with a win over Malo Pescado, and an open declaration – he was going to be cashing in his title shot as the King of Extreme 2010 winner against whomever the champion would be at TitleClash 4!

This did not sit well at all with Matt Taylor, pushing the already on-edge wrestler overboard. After Taylor retained his title against the former champion JT Stahr – he then turned on his own manager, Violent Bob! After bloodying Bob and humiliating him by cutting off Bob’s hair, Matt screamed out a warning to Williams – if this is what Taylor was willing to do to win the title, then what would he be willing to do to keep it?

The Executive Committee looked over a number of options for this match before finally deciding that the match needed to be fought under Last Man Standing rules. This means the only way to win is for one of the two wrestlers to put the other one down for a 10-Count… possibly the only way to end this burning rivalry once and for all!

You do NOT want to miss this match when WWC returns to Aberdeen this Saturday, August 14th with TitleClash 4! In the meantime, keep your eyes peeled here and at WWC’s official MySpace, FaceBook, and Web sites for more announcements throughout the week!

Fans were shocked at Pandemonium when Matt Taylor walked out of the 4 Way Dance as the new WWC World Heavyweight Champion. Ever the cagey one, Matt struck when opportunity presented itself, gaining what many have called a tainted victory to capture his first reign as WWC World Heavyweight Champion. The Executive Committee have informed us here at WWCWeb.com today that they’ve decided to eliminate the variables and present the man Taylor deposed as champion, JT Stahr, a one on one opportunity to reclaim the title!

What’s not yet known is how this sits with either of the two other particpants in the 4 Way Dance at Pandemonium – Aaron Williams or “Dangerous” Damien Kass. Rumor has been buzzing around the WWC offices that Aaron has requested time to speak at Midsummer’s Nightmare, presumably to address his longtime rival Matt Taylor. We’ll have to wait a little longer to hear from DDK, though – when DDK used the banned “3rd Degree” manuever in the Fatal 4 Way (the second usage fo the banned move in a row), the Executive Committee handed down a suspension to the rough and tumble bruiser. Will the time off give DDK a chance to consider his actions, or will it just force his legendary anger to simmer longer?

Fans, I highly recommend you get your tickets for Midsummer’s Nightmare now to guarantee a seat for what is already shaping up to be a premiere WWC event! We’ll see you in Aberdeen on July 10th!

Saturday, June 12th was another momentous night in the history of the World Wrestling Coalition, featuring a change in the championship roster!

The evening started with “The Dark Angel” Mike West standing in for the absent Eclipso as The Solar Powers (Jake Ashworth and manager Will Profit) defeated the team of Princeton Travis and Marvel Trice.

WWC World Heavyweight Champion JT Stahr came out to address the fans after the completion of his recent tour of Thailand and Japan. He was shortly interrupted by DDK (with Naughtia), Matt Taylor (with Violent Bob) and Aaron Williams, all claiming to have a valid contendership for the WWC World Heavyweight Championship! JT decided to have everyone put aside their contenderships and claims – instead, he would face them all in the evening’s main event!

Newly crowned North American Champion Terry Reines defeated DJ Tom Sharp to retain his title.

Continuing the theme of returns, Dave Nevada and Devlin Anderson reformed to face down WWC Tag Team Champions International Incident. The duo of Nikita Allanov and Eddy Gonzales skated away with their titles intact after being disqualified when Terry Reines interfered in the match, striking Dave Nevada.

“The Penthouse Playboy” Jimmy Malloy entered the Tri-State Rumble match first and outlasted all other entrants to win the battle royal and claim the $1000 prize. “Superstar” Shawn Parks returned to the ring after suffering a concussion from a Nikita Allanov pile-driver last month – although the slightly confused Superstar was dressed and acting in a way very reminiscent of the Ultimate Warrior!

“The Dark Star” Matt Taylor (with Violent Bob) defeated JT Stahr, Aaron Williams and DDK to become the new WWC World Heavyweight Champion. Opportunity was created for Taylor when DDK used the banned “3rd Degree” manuever (in a misguided attempt to emulate his unwilling “mentor” Ric Byrne). Using the move had DDK disqualified and banned from the match, yet JT Stahr had taken the damage from the move nonetheless. Taylor seized the moment to grab the pin and his first reign as WWC World Heavyweight Champion.

There’s sure to be plenty of fallout from this one, folks – word is that JT has already appealed to the Executive Committee to get a singles rematch against Taylor. For his second usage of the banned 3rd Degree, DDK has been suspended and will not be appearing at WWC’s MidSummer’s Nightmare on July 10th. How will all of this play out? Check out WWCweb.com!

FRIDAY NIGHT JUNE 18th
@The Peebles High School
Peebles, OH 45660
6:30 doors open
7pm Rootbound Concert
8pm Wrestling Show

Its finally here…WRESTLEBOUND! This is it folks, the biggest event to rock Adams County in a long time. The stars of NexGen Pro and The World Wrestling Coalition are ready to tear it up and raise money for the Peebles High School!

Rootbound will bring a WHOLE LOT OF TROUBLE to Peebles with a full concert from 7pm to 8pm. These hard rockers mix a bluesy southern rock vibe with a head banging sound and put on a show you’ll never forget. Be here to say you saw Rootbound when they were in Peebles before they blow up!

Then, the best in Indy wrestling take the stage as we see seven huge matches including…

Tarek the Legend vs. American Kickboxer 2
(The feud between American Kickboxer and Tarek is well…legendary. Now Kickboxer’s student takes up the mask to take on The Legend this Friday Night)

Jake Omen vs. Scotty Young
(Former best friends and tag parnters turned enemies. Omen turned his back on Young at NexGen II in their tag match with the NobleBloods. NexGen Management have decided these two will lock up in Peebles)

WWC Championship
Mathew Taylor(c) vs. Devlin Anderson
(Tag Team Division in singles action as 1/2 the Noble Bloods take on 1/2 the Black Irish Saints! And its for Taylor’s newly won WWC World Championship!)

WWC North American Championship
Terry Raines(c) vs. PEEBLES own LIL Hulk Jake Ashworth
(Ashworth is in action in his home town and hopes to RUN WILD all over the Canadian Terror and leader of the International Incident Terry Raines! Raines will have the big man Nikita Allanov in his corner and Hulk will have his manager Will Profit…can Ashworth walk away the new champion?)

Damien Kass vs. DJ Tom Sharp
(1/2 of the Black Irish Saints in singles action against the Hip Hop Guru! This will most likely be a very interesting contest)

JT Stahr vs. Cody Hawk
(See these two do what they do best…tear down the house. Mr. Ego is on a warpath in NexGen Pro…JT Stahr is trying to rebound from loosing the WWC title last week. These two’s rich history will be front and center at Wrestlebound this weekend)

Dave Nevada vs. Aaron Williams vs. Tim Donst
(Williams pinned Donst at NexGen 1, Donst cheated Nevada at NexGen 2…Nevada and Williams have been life long friends and tag parnters but now they’ll be on opposite sides in this 3 Way. Every man for himself as you’ll see three of the best in Mid-West wrestling today in our main event!)

Plus…Local Icon Superstar Shawn Parks has been acting very weird as of late. At the recent WWC Event he appeared in the Tri-State rumble as the Ultimate Warrior? Many are saying he is suffering from a nasty concussion at the hands of Terry Raines from May…he is scheduled to appear at Wrestlebound…but will it be Superstar Shawn Parks…Ultimate Parks or someone else?

Tickets are $10 for concert and the Show!!! Presale is $8
