The International Wrestling Alliance once again returned to The Backstage in Chillicothe, OH on Thursday February 5, 2009 for another amazing show. If you missed it, here’s what went down…
In the opening contest, REAL DEAL BRICE BENNETT defeated THE MASKED NINJA, by pin-fall.
RICK RAMSEY won over THE KID.
BRADY WEST presented an episode of BRADY LAND featuring IWA commissioner CHRIS SERIOUS. Serious told the crowd that in his effort to improve the mighty IWA he had went back to our past and signed one of our all time greatest stars. He then brought out BIG COUNTRY, CHRIS HICKOCK. COUNTRY came out and shook every ones hands. BRADY WEST then announced that he too, acting as a assistant commissioner, had reached back into IWA history and in fact had resigned a former IWA star. He then brought out ROC WIELER. As both the commissioners felt they had signed the better talent SERIOUS announced he was making a match between WIELER and COUNTRY to prove who was better. COUNTRY and ROC WIELER argued they was really true friends and actually tag team partners, and did not want to face each other. Even BRADY WEST agreed
it may be a bad idea to make them wrestle each other. However
Commissioner SERIOUS insisted on making the match.
The two actually had a pretty competitive match for about ten minutes. ROC WIELER then defeated BIG COUNTRY when COUNTRY obviously just layed down to get pinned.
In one of the IWA’s hottest feuds as of late, OTTO VON BOOGIEMISTER defeated JOCK SAMPSON. SAMPSON literally exploded after the loss saying, “He could not believe he lost to a man who used make up.” Jack then said BOOGIEMISTER was no better than a lady. This brought out commissioner SERIOUS who said if SAMPSON thought BOOGIEMISTER was so feminine he was going to make another match between them. SERIOUS then announced that when the IWA returns to Chillicothe next month SAMPSON would once again wrestle BOOGIEMISTER, this time, in a Loser Wheres a Dress match.
In six man tag action THE MASKED RUSSIAN MAFIA with RIC RAGE defeated. THE JUDGE, KING RANDY ALLEN and JOE JOE LITTLE, when M.E. HOWERTON interfered and caused LITTLE to be pinned by RUSSIAN MAFIA # 1.
CHAD CRUISE kept his winning streak intact since returning to the IWA by pinning SID ANGEL.
2 ON 3 HANDICAP MATCH: THE RIOT SQUAD team of BULL MILLER, CHRIS CRUIT and M.E. HOWERTON emerged victorious over the black Superman – ONYX and DIRK EXTREME. MILLER got the pin fall on ONYX after ONYX’s own partner, DIRK EXTREME, hit him in the head with a championship belt, temporarily knocking him out cold. Earlier on in the match there was an altercation between former RIOT SQUAD manager, DR. DAVID LANNING and M.E. HOWERTON. LANNING had pulled HOWERTON off the side of the ring and HOWERTON was threatening LANNING when JOE JOE LITTLE came out to ringside. LITTLE and LANNING ended up chasing HOWERTON into the dressing room area.
IWA Commissioner, CHRIS SERIOUS, has ordered a match between ONYX and EXTREME when we return to Chillicothe Ohio on March 5th. ONYX’s IWA title will be on the line.
We would like to thank all the IWA SUPERSTARS as well as our fans who made this a great night of wrestling. We would also like to thank all the SUPER people who worked behind the scenes. Without them what we do would not be possible.

Hey fans, here are the results from the IWA show that took place at The Backstage in Chillicothe, OH on 1/8/09.
TAG TEAM MATCH
SID ANGEL and RICK RAMSEY deft. RELENTLESS RON MATHIS and DEVON MAXIMUS in an exciting action pact match.
CRUISERWEIGHT MATCH
After pulling a years duty over seas with the National Guard, CHAD CRUISE returned to a IWA ring and deft. THE REAL DEAL, BRICE BENNETT, by pinfall. We here in the IWA would like to congratulate MR. CRUISE on his triumphant return to a IWA ring.
In what is shaping up to be quite a feud here in the IWA, THE JOCK deft. OTTO VON BOOGIEMIESTER by pin.
THE RIOT SQUAD; M.E. HOWERTON and CRANIAL DAMAGE CHRIS CRUIT, seconded by CANDY, was deft. by JOE JOE LITTLE and THE JUDGE. However, before the match even started there was a verbal confrontation between HOWERTON and DR. DAVID LANNING. LANNING had been acting as THE RIOT SQUADS manager up until last month when LANNING was forced by COMMISSIONER SERIOUS to manage THE MASKED NINJA in a match against THE BLACK SUPERMAN – ONYX. The stipulation for that match was that if THE NINJA lost LANNING would be banished from the IWA for one year. For some reason it appears LANNING blames HOWERTON for the loss.
Chillicothe’s own, BIG RUSTY FLANNERY, came out to ringside and announced that he was sick and tired of THE MASKED RUSSIAN MAFIA and their anti American rhetoric. He then said that wile he did not have a partner he wanted to take the two on single Handed. That brought COMMISSIONER SERIOUS out to announce that he just could not allow that to happen. Stating insurance liabilities. It looked like the match would not happen when SERIOUS stated he would allow the match if FLANNERY could find a partner. This brought out THE JUDGE who agreed to pull double duty on this night and the two defeated the Russians when FLANNERY got a quick pin on MAFIA member number two.
THE MAIN EVENT FOR THE IWA HVWT.TITLE
Although the two are considered fan favorites, THE AMERICAN IDOL, DIRK EXTREME, challenged THE BLACK SUPERMAN – ONYX, for the heavyweight strap. This was a pretty even contest, with Extreme utilizing his superior speed verses the almost super human strength of ONYX. However, EXTREME indeed up injuring his leg and almost seemed helpless. ONYX then said he did not want to beat Extreme that way and told him he would give him another chance at IWA gold on another night. So the match was ruled a no contest. But as EXTREME was limping back to the dressing room ONYX was attacked three on one by RIOT SQUAD members M.E. HOWERTON, CHRIS CRUIT and BULL MILLER. The beat down lasted until EXTREME returned swinging the HVWT. title belt and running the SQUAD out of the ring. THE RIOT SQUAD then challenged ONYX and EXTREME to a two on three handicap match when the IWA returns to Chillicothe’s Backstage on February 3rd.
IWA would like to thank all the GREAT IWA Superstars, those who help out behind the scenes, and of course all our great fans.

The International Wrestling Alliance once again rocked Chillicothe’s Backstage last night. If you weren’t there, this is what you missed…
In the Main Event:
It was to be a Loser Leave Town match between the IWA Heavyweight champion, Onyx, and J.T Hogg. However, it was announced be Commissioner Chris Serious that Hogg had a medical condition that prevented him from participating in the match. This brought out Dr. David Lanning who made a huge announcement, his group of himself, M.E Howerton and J.T. Hogg, was joining up with the Riot Squad. He then called out Bull Miller and Chris Cruit. Lanning then made the case to Commissioner Serious that one of the two should get the title match as both are former IWA champions. Serious had other plans and turned Lanning and the Riot Squads request down.
This was not the end of the drama, as Ms. Hollywood, who is acting as Serious’ assistant wile she is recuperating from a injury, attacked Candy, from the Riot Squad. The attack was apparently over who was considered the number one lady of the IWA in Serious’ opinion. The Riot Squad quickly broke up the squabble and escorted Candy to the back leaving Serious, Ms. Hollywood and Lanning in the ring. Serious then made his big announcement stating, “It is my intention to beef up the IWA’s already impressive roster by importing some of the worlds top Superstars to the IWA.” He then said that as soon as he found out that Hogg was not going to be able to go threw with his commitment for the Loser Leave Town match he pulled the strings on bringing in a huge superstar from Japan – The Masked Ninja. Serious then informed Lanning that since he had originally agreed to the Loser Leave Town match on Hogg’s behalf, and that the match had been advertised to all the IWA fans in attendance, that he was holding him responsible and that if The Ninja lost the contest that Lanning himself would have his managers license pulled and would be out of the IWA for one year.
The match between Onyx and the Masked Ninja was pretty one sided ending with Onyx hitting his Powerslam for the pin. So David Lanning is now officially out of the IWA.
United States Title Match
M.E. Howerton was disqualified in his effort to defend his title. Thus the winner was Joe Joe Little. However the title could not change hands on a disqualification.
Cruiserweight Title Match
There was a bunch of interference in the match from Rick Ramsey and Brice Bennet, both trying to position themselves for future Cruiserweight title matches. But in the end Aaron Taylor pinned The Kid to retain his championship.
Jock Sampson was victorious over Sid Angel.
The Masked Russian’s IWA debut was an unsuccessful as they was defeated by King Randy Allen and The Judge.
Riot Squad member Chris Cruit and The Boogiemister went to a no contest when Boogiemister was attacked by Jock Sampson.
Rick Ramsey called in his “favor” he had won from Commissioner Serious and had asked for a match with Brice Bennet. Unfortunately for Ramsey, Bennet emerged victorious in the contest.
We here at the IWA would like to thank all the Superstars who made this event so spectacular Thank you to all who helped out behind the scenes. Special thanks to The Wooooooorld Famous Ken Young for solving our music problems. And Thank you fans for being there. You make it all possible for us to do what we do.
The Mighty IWA will return to Chillicothe, Ohio January 8th with a benefit event for the Ross County Fire Association We hope to see all our fans out there enjoying the great wrestling action and supporting this great cause

We would like to announce that on our December 4th event in Chillicothe, Ohio, a rematch between heavyweight champion, The black Superman – Onyx and The Man Beast, J.T. Hogg, has been signed. In their first encounter Onyx was able to lift the 350 pounder and Power slam him for a pin. According to Hogg’s manager, Dr. David Lanning, Onyx was lucky when he scored the move and the pin.
Onyx, stating he has already defeated Hogg, has agreed to a rematch for the title only on one condition. The match be fought under Loser Leaves Town rules. This means the loser will be out of the IWA for a minimum of one year. “This guy is a real animal and has hurt several wrestlers with his maniacal ways. I agreed to this rematch only so I could rid the IWA of that monster and ensure he does no more unjust damage to the fine roster of the IWA.” Onyx said.
“My man will defeat that paper champion this time and bring the belt home to me. He was damn lucky the last time. He caught Hogg off balance and was able to lift him for that Power Slam of his. It will not happen again.” Stated Lanning.
“Either way this match goes one great talent will be leaving the IWA. Its to bad it had to go down like this. Both men are great draws. I hate to lose either from the roster. But both athletes want the match. So what could I do?” claimed IWA Commissioner, Chris Serious.
Tickets for the event can be purchased at either The Backstage or Acme Comics in Chillicothe for just $8. Tickets are $10 at the door. As always children under ten are FREE! So bring the hole family out to this great event. 7:30 bell time.
More matches to be announced.

Just recieved this from our good friend, IWA’s Bull Miller…
Just wanted to remind everyone you can watch IWA Carnage only at iwawrestling.com. Thats right, screw the cable companies. You can watch us anytime and as many times as you want on the net.
This weeks show features a Cruiserweight contest between Bryce Bennett and Maveric Mark Mathews. Also the United States Champion, J.T. Hogg, defends against the Shooting Star, Matt Tayler. The winner of the match gets five minutes in the ring with their opponents manager. Wich sucks if your David Lanning and have to face Tayler. But its even worse if your Ms. MacKenzie and would have to wrestle Hogg.
Also wanted to remind all ya bums that the IWA will be in Chillicothe Thursday January 17th @ the Backstage(47 S. Paint St.). 7.30 bell time. Then we will be at CoCo’s (660 Harrisburg Pike)) in Columbus Ohio on the 19th. 9.30 bell time.
The great and fantastic Bull Miller will be in tag action both nights.. So get your fat asses out there and watch me kick some serious ass!

IWA Comments on Their Future in Columbus

We regret to inform that the January 5th event set for Columbus Ohio, Screamin’ Willie’s, has been canceled. Fact is the IWA and Screamin’ Willie’s are parting ways. We would like to thank the club for hosting several monthly events for us but quite frankly feel they dropped the ball as far as trying to promote IWA Wrestling at their establishment.
First of all the IWA was the third wrestling promotion in modern times to be featured at the club. One promotion lasted for one show and the other for two. The IWA was able to more than double the number of events the two other promotions was able to put together, combined. In doing so we featured not only our core Superstars but other names such as the Honky Tonk Man, Wildcat Chris Harris, Zach Gowen, Doink the Clown, and Wildfire Tommy Rich.
Wile we recognize the fact that as a wrestling promotion it is our responsibility to promote our events, we feel it is a shame Screamin’ Willie’s did so little to plug our events. They would not even put us on their sign located in front of their club.
But we are putting all this behind us.
The IWA has reached an agreement with another facility in Columbus to start hosting our events. We apologize that we can not release the date of our first event at this time, but expect to do so within a week or two. It is possible we may even have a event in Columbus sometime in January. If not, February for sure.
The only hold up is that the new facility really wants to support us in our efforts to promote wrestling in Columbus, thus they our setting up a joint meeting with some of their contacts in the local media. Something Screamin’ Willie’s was not willing/able to do.
In the meantime, please remember that you can catch the mighty IWA in action in Chillicothe Ohio, at the Backstage, on January third.
Also, the IWA is hard at work in getting a weekly TV show up on our website. Our deal with Time Warner proved to be unworkable. To say they lied to us would be on the light side.
Many of you have noticed the new format at iwawrestling.com and have sent emails congratulating us. The webmaster is having a bit of problems with the video but is working hard in getting the first video started. Anyone with expertise in this area and is willing to help out can contact us thru our Myspace.
In closing, just let me say that we want to thank all our many loyal IWA fans, as well as our many Superstars who get it done in the ring. 2007 was a great year for us. I think 2008 will prove to be even better.
