Starting in the 3rd quarter of this year Hybrid Wrestling takes over the television air waves. After months of negotiations and preparation, a deal was finalized late last week. The details of the contract will not be made public but what we can tell you is that the 30 minute late night series will be available weekly to 252,000 homes throughout Ohio and Michigan and the first official TV taping is scheduled for Saturday, September 11, in Fremont, Ohio.

To see if you get Hybrid Wrestling TV in your area once the network is named, click the “Television” page on the menu bar of Hybrid’s new website. For those not in our coverage area we are already in negotiations with several other networks and affiliates to expand our television audience. In the mean time, don’t worry you won’t be left out. The series will be available online although no air-date or format has been announced.

If you would like to advertise your business during Hybrid Wrestling TV please send us a message from the “Contact” page of the website. We have a very limited number of spots available which are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Hybrid Wrestling’s All Purpose Update

First and foremost, we want to thank everyone who came out to the co-pro experiment that was Double-Edge Sword at the Ghostly Manor in Sandusky, Ohio and especially to the over 500 people who showed up for our debut in Clyde, Ohio at the Clyde Fair. The turn out and response were overwhelming.

Both events featured some unfamiliar names and faces to Hybrid Wrestling. Eric Alverado, Aftermath, and Chris Dickinson looked impressive in their respective matches, but so far only Frightmare and GQ have been invited back and are both confirmed for Theory Of Evolution on Saturday, December 5th.

Speaking of new faces, some outside talent has been contacted by Hybrid Wrestling management. It’s rumored that Theory Of Evolution has been a hot topic of discussion in those conversations. No names have been confirmed or denied at this point. Until we have something concrete we won’t name any names, so feel free to speculate.
However, we are hearing that an established tag team is on the list of those who were contacted . Why is that important? Because another rumor going around is that Hybrid Wrestling is looking to introduce tag team titles in 2010. Hybrid Wrestling has always put an emphasis on tag team wrestling and the crowning of tag team champions might be sooner than we think.

Hybrid Wrestling is honored to be a part of the 2009 Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup. The final decisions are being made on who will represent the company.

Lastly, there have been a lot of changes behind the scenes. This year has been a huge learning process. Some mistakes were made, but we have learned from them. The weak links have been identified and addressed. We have surrounded ourselves with a fantastic supporting cast that is extremely excited about the future of the company.
Thank you for your continued support. The official Theory Of Evolution main event announcement is upon us.

Hybrid Wrestling returned to The Ghostly Manor Thrill Center in Sandusky, OH this past Thursday night, when they presented Hybrid: Damage Control. This is being called the wildest night in Hybrid Wrestling history, and for good reason! No amount of preparation could prepare anyone for the events of the evening.

Benji was publicly fired in the middle of the ring by Brian Grachek. Jimmy DeMarco was introduced as the new image consultant and along with Skeeter the Skating Dragon gave us a glimpse of the new direction of Hybrid Wrestling. Hailey Hatred earned the moniker of the “First Lady of Hybrid Wrestling” with her win over Madison Rayne. Faith In Nothing, Johnny Gargano, Mega Sexy, and Dustin Rayz battled all over the Ghostly Manor Thrill Center using numerous weapons from chairs to ski balls to the haunted house itself! Not even the ring could withstand the damage as it imploded during the Six-Pack Challenge.

If you weren’t there, here’s what went down…

Faith In Nothing & Johnny Gargano defeated Mega Sexy & Dustin Rayz.

Corvis Fear defeated Jason Gory.

Hailey Hatred defeated TNA Knockout Madison Rayne in the first ever Hybrid Women’s Match.

Jimmy DeMarco defeated Bert.

Eric Ryan defeated Morty Rackem, J. Miller, Jack Verville, Cameron Skyy, and Tommy Tydie in a Six-Pack Elimination Challenge.

Luis Diamante & Jefferson Saint defeated Ryan Burke & Robert Paulson.

Facade defeated Brian Lyndon.

Fontaine Finds a Partner…Gives Up Title Shot

It didn’t take Marion Fontaine long to find a partner, but at what cost? Dustin Rayz has agreed to team with Marion Fontaine and Shawn Blaze as they take on the team of Johnny Gargano and Faith In Nothing.

Fontaine has also faxed the signed contract back to Brian Grachek for the Hybrid Championship match on Saturday, August 1st in Jersey City, New Jersey after it was accepted and approved by Fat Frank from JAPW.

To Grachek’s surprise, it wasn’t Marion Fontaine’s signature that joined Dave Cole’s on the contract; it was the signature of Dustin Rayz. Marion Fontaine was sent a contract late last week for a Hybrid championship match in Jersey City, New Jersey in an attempt to end Fontaine’s championship hold-out.

Shortly after, it was announced that Fontaine, Shawn Blaze, and a partner of Fontaine’s choosing will headline Damage Control as they take on Johnny Gargano and Faith In Nothing. Many feel this move was a way of management retaliating against Fontaine. If management thought they had the upper hand, Fontaine had a royal flush. Marion Fontaine used the open contract as an incentive to not only find a partner, but also a way to stick it to management.

HybridWrestling.com staff will continue to follow this developing story.

6-Man Match Added to Hybrid: Damage Control

A huge six-man tag match has been signed for Hybrid Wrestling’s return to the Ghostly Manor on Thursday, July 16th. However, only 5 of the participants have been named.

Faith In Nothing will team for the first time with Johnny Gargano as they take on the tag team of Marion Fontaine, his B.F.F. Shawn Blaze and a partner of Fontaine’s choosing.

Is this match a way of management retaliating to Fontaine’s demands or is it just a coincidence?
