HWA Returns to Norwood, OH on 5/29/10

It has become an Heartland Wrestling Association Memorial Day Weekend tradition, it is the second annual HWA May Day, coming to The Donald E. Prues Center, 1810 Courtland Avenue in Norwood, OH on Saturday night May 29, 2010. Tickets for this holiday weekend event are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for kids 14 & under. Bell time is 8:00 PM and doors will open at 7:30 PM.
Now a look at the HWA May Day card…
It is Titles vs. Masks when The Noble Bloods step into the ring with The Flying Mendoza Brothers at HWA May Day!
Taylor & Cruise have survived the challenge of Loco and Loto on two separate occasions, first back at HWA CyberClash 5.0 when they were intentionally counted out and then in a rematch at The Sorg where their manager Danny O’Brien’s interference allowed The Noble Bloods to win via pinfall.
Now the reigning HWA Tag Team Champions hope to not only retain their titles for a third time against the Mendozas but also expose them as The Irish Airborne and cost HWA’s own Chris The Brain his job for being a part of the alleged Mendoza Cover-up!
The HWA Heavyweight Title will be on the line at HWA May Day when HWA Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley defends his title against Jesse Emerson.
The current HWA American Luchacore Champion Jesse Emerson and Moxley met earlier this month in a Champion vs. Champion match that it appeared Jesse was about to win, until a jealous King Vu crashed the party.
Speculation ran rampant amongst the HWA’s fans and the HWA locker room, could Jesse Emerson be the man to topple Jon Moxley?
Moxley himself had to ask that question and he will get his answer one way or another when he meets Jesse Emerson as part of HWA May Day!
“King Vu” Richard Phillips and “The Madness” Chris Hall will meet one more time with a shot at the HWA Heavyweight Title up for grabs.
Two months ago “The Madness” Chris Hall cemented himself as a major player in the HWA when he defeated King Vu in Norwood at HWA Hysteria. Hall is looking for an encore performance that will get him another crack at the richest prize in the HWA.
Meanwhile King Vu will be looking to return to his former glory. The former HWA Heavyweight Champion lost his belt last December in Norwood and since then Norwood has not been kind to the self-proclaimed King of the HWA.
Tarek the Legend thought he was done with American Kickboxer 2. The sadistic Tarek defeated the never say die American Kickboxer on numerous occasions before he finally declared he was done.
But Kickboxer had other plans, especially given the underhanded ways Tarek defeated him. So American Kickboxer 2 became a thorn in the side of Tarek The Legend, including interfering in an HWA American Luchacore Title shot Tarek had against Jesse Emerson.
That was the straw that broke the camel’s back and Tarek agreed to meet American Kickboxer 2 once again at HWA May Day and he even went as far to let Kickboxer choose the stipulation.
Kickboxer chose a Respect Match, where the loser will have to show the winner respect by shaking his hand!
Six man tag team action will be a part of HWA May Day when one team captained by the newly crowned HWA American Luchacore Champion Ron Mathis will take on another captained by Sid Fabulous.
Mathis not surprisingly enlisted the help of his International Riot Squad partner, Kaden Assad and Kaden’s OCW Tag Team Championship partner, Jeremy Madrox.
On the other side of the fence Sid Fabulous has selected “Southern Angel” Kyle Haven and a man who has a great deal of trios experience, Chikara superstar, Tim Donst!
Six very different personalities in one match! This one could get wild!
The pompous Dustin Rayz will tag up with his protégé N8 Flames to take on the up and coming combo of Terminal Velocity (Dameon Daniels & Aaron Xtreme)
Terminal Velocity combines size and speed, youth and experience and show a great deal of promise. On the other side of the coin you have Dustin Rayz, who is out for one man… HIMSELF. Not exactly an ideal tag team partner and the continuity between teacher and student can not be on the same level of Terminal Velocity. But never underestimate how low Rayz will stoop to win a match.
The winning team in this match could find themselves one step closer to challenging for the HWA Tag Team titles.
Jock Samson returns to the HWA at HWA May Day and this time around he’ll be in the ring with the bizarre Shank Barzini.
Shank is hungry to get back into HWA competition after he was forced to sit out HWA CyberClash 5.0 due to illness. And with the mentoring of “Bad Attitude” Brian Beech, Shank is ready to really make an impact in the HWA.
But the same could be said for Jock Samson. Jock made a successful debut back at HWA Hysteria against “Southern Angel” Kyle Haven, but came up short last month when he took on Sid Fabulous. Jock is looking to bring his HWA record to 2-1 at the expense of Shank Barzini.

HWA Returns to The Sorg Opera House on 3/03/10

HWA Championship Wednesday is in the history books and we now look ahead to next Wednesday March 3rd and the HWA’s next live event at The Sorg (65 S Main St) in downtown Middletown!
All tickets for our Wednesday night events are only $5. And the action gets underway at 7:30 PM!
Signed for this week’s event…
THE IRISH AIRBORNE (DAVE & JAKE CRIST) vs. THE INTERNATIONAL RIOT SQUAD (KADEN ASSAD & RON MATHIS)
Things got very personal between the teams of Dave & Jake Crist (The Irish Airborne) and Kaden Assad & Ron Mathis (The International Riot Squad) when they both got involved in each other’s business this past Wednesday, including Assad and Mathis costing Airborne the HWA Tag Team Titles.
This coming Wednesday it won’t be about title shots or championships, it will be very, very personal.
A SPECIAL SKILLS EXHIBITION with KID FABULOUS and his trainer AMERICAN KICKBOXER
Back on February 17th, American Kickboxer showed up at The Sorg and offered to take Kid Fabulous under his wing and teach him what he needed to know to defeat Tarek The Legend.
Now this Wednesday, after two weeks of intensive training with both Kickboxer and Necro Butcher, Kid Fabulous is ready to put on a special skills exhibition… something tells us Tarek The Legend will be watching very closely.
“THE MADNESS” CHRIS HALL vs. SHAWN BOND
It will be power against power when “The Madness” Chris Hall goes against the muscle of King Vu’s Court, Shawn Bond!
The experience edge goes to Hall in this one, but the numbers game could cost him as Bond will no doubt have the Court in his corner.
HWA HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION JON MOXLEY vs. “THE SOUTHERN ANGEL” KYLE HAVEN – NON TITLE MATCH
Jon Moxley is anxiously awaiting his next challenger for the coveted HWA Heavyweight Title, but this Wednesday a young rookie will have his chance to go toe to toe with the best the HWA has to offer as “The Southern Angel” Kyle Haven has the biggest match of his young career against “The Most Dangerous Man in the HWA” Jon Moxley.
HWA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS THE NOBLE BLOODS vs. TERMINAL VELOCITY – NON TITLE MATCH
Lord Matthew Taylor and Sir Chadwick Cruise will not put their newly acquired titles on the line this coming Wednesday when they step into the ring with the newest team in the HWA, Terminal Velocity (Dameon Daniels & Aaron Xtreme) stating that the team of Daniels and Xtreme have not earned a shot at the belts.
For fans who were at the show last week, many would question the way the Noble Bloods earned those titles.
KING VU vs. SID FABULOUS
Last week was a rough week for both King Vu and Sid Fabulous.
Vu tapped out in the middle of the ring in what could have been his last chance at regaining the HWA Heavyweight Title while Jon Moxley is champion and Sid Fabulous had to say goodbye to Kid Fabulous and the team of Utterly Fabulous as they agreed to go their separate ways.
Now it is a fresh start for both men when they step into the ring this Wednesday!
ALSO SCHEDULED TO COMPETE: HWA AMERICAN LUCHACORE CHAMPION JESSE EMERSON, DUSTIN RAYZ and more!
