Dynamic Championship Wrestling rolled into Springfield, OH this past Saturday night for another awesome show. If you missed it, here’s what went down…
Sir Daniel Montingham def. Morris the Mecca of Manhood
Daniel Montingham used the ropes for leverage after rolling up Morris with a school boy. Good opener, as the crowd really enjoyed Morris. Montingham sported a tuxedo while competing.
Benjamin “The Bear” Boone def. Bryan Bender
Before the match, Bryan got on the microphone and ripped the fans, while putting down the bearhug finisher. Boone forced Bender to submit with his second bearhug of the match, after Bryan Bender was caught leaping off the top rope. A very good back-and-forth effort.
Tommy Blaze def. “Lightning” Tim Lutz
Before the match, Lutz offered Tommy Blaze a diet pepsi, saying that he needed to lose weight. This got Blaze furious, but the Springfield faithful agreed with Lutz to add fuel to the fire. As Tim was about to close in on victory, L-Ray and Evan Steele interfered, distracting both the referee and Tim. Lutz was able to clear the duo from the apron, but walked right back into a Blaze Slam by Tommy Blaze, who picked up the 1-2-3. A lot of heat on Blaze, L-Ray, and Steele. A standing ovation for Lightning’s efforts during the bout.
DCW Tag Team Championship Match
Drunk-N-Disorderly (Hobo Joe & Rummy Rebus) def. Brandon Taylor & In-Ge
Drunk-N-Disorderly worked as a team unit to put the newcomers away. After Rummy hit a DDT, Hobo Joe was able to nail the 40-ounce Brain Buster to pick up the win. The fans were really into the match, and it provided a little bit of everything. Very nice showing from Brandon and In-Ge.
“Mr. Reality Check” Big Jim Hutchinson def. “The Saturday Night Franchise” Damien Daniels
This bout saw both men give it all they had. A very aggressive showing from both of these big time stars. Big Jim got the edge in this one, after a thunderous big boot to the head of Daniels. After the match, Daniels stole a hat from the crowd. Jim celebrated with some of the fans after his big win. A nice, technical match-up.
L-Ray & “The Real Deal” Even Steele def. “Midnite” Matt Ryan & DCW Mid-Ohio Champion Shawn Draven
Evan Steele pinned Matt Ryan after the doomsday leg lariat from L-Ray. A lot of the fans after the show were heard talking about this match being the match of the night. A great performance from all four individuals, each of the three expressing why they deserve to be the #1 Contender to Draven’s championship.
Benjamin Boone wins the 15-Man Over-The-Top-Rope Battle Royal
Tommy Blaze had eliminated Big Jim from the match, leaving everybody to think that he had won, much to the dismay of the fans. However, Senior Official Victor Bell ruled that Benjamin Boone had not been eliminated. He did not go over the top rope, so Boone was permitted back in the ring. While Blaze celebrated his thought-to-be victory, Boone snuck up from behind and dumped him over the top rope. A highlight of the match was a masked man getting chopped, forearmed, and low blowed to bits in the corner. For those wondering why, it was reported that this masked man was said to have had a very bad attitude before the match. He even told some of the wrestlers to “f*ck themselves”. This led to the united beat-down of the silver-masked victim.
Overall, a great show. All of the near 200-people in attendance loved the action, and can’t wait for the return on April 4th. Before that, the DCW will be making their next stop in Minster, Ohio at the YMCA on February 21st. Come on out and show your support! Adult tickets are $10.00, and kids 15-and-under are $5.00.

Extreme Tournament Tables Match
“Midnite” Matt Ryan def. Damien Daniels
Daniels was looking to slam Ryan through the table, but “Midnite” countered Daniels, forcing him to go head-first into the ring post and fall back on the table. Matt Ryan then finished the job with the elbow drop.
Extreme Tournament Falls Count Anywhere Match
L-Ray def. Tommy Blaze
L-Ray faked a knee injury, after missing a moonsault off the top rope. This caused concern from many, including Blaze himself. After Tommy called for a stoppage to tend to the fallen wrestler, L-Ray then rolled Blaze up, securing a 1-2-3 and shocking the Piqua National Guard Armory (including Tommy Blaze himself) with the pinfall victory.
Extreme Tournament Dog Collar Match
Evan Steele def. “Lightning” Tim Lutz
Evan and Tim both were able to hit three corners simultaneously. Both wrestlers found out that one-another only needed to hit one more turnbuckle, and they would have won. This begun the ole’ fashioned slugfest in the middle of the ring. The next one to hit the their respective turnbuckle next would win the match, and after Evan Steele hit Lutz with the steel chain connecting the dog collars, he was able to jump out and hit the turnbuckle. The referee originally told Evan it was the wrong corner, but quickly caught on that it was indeed the correct corner and Steele was awarded the victory.
Loser Leaves DCW Hardcore Match
Shawn Draven def. Nate “Da Great” Fails
After what had to seem like endless time, Shawn Draven and Nate Fails took each other to the limits. Neither man wanted to end their DCW careers like this, but in the end, it was Draven hitting the double stomp on Nate, and pinning him out of the DCW.
John Austin’s DCW Return Match
“The Prodigy” Eric Fallen def. “The Lunatic” John Austin
The crowd was clearly behind Austin. After he had a big momentum boost, Fallen halted that and picked himself a huge marquee victory in this match, silencing his critics. The crowd was really into this, despite their clear-cut favorite to win had “Fallen” short.
DCW Heavyweight Championship Match
“The Soviet Shooter” Nikita Allanov def. “Mr. Reality Check” Big Jim Hutchinson (DQ)
Before the match, Nikita banned the piledriver for this contest. He wanted this to be a classic “old school” wrestling match. Even though a couple of “dirty” tactics came about in the contest, it didn’t disappoint. In the end, Jim ducked a forearm smash that ended up nailing Junior Referee Doug Kinsella, knocking him out. Big Jim then hit the piledriver on Nikita moments later. When Kinsella got his wits back, he counted the 1-2-3, awarding Big Jim the title. However, Senior Official Victor Bell came out and reversed the decision, as he saw the piledriver executed from the back. The two referees discussed for a moment, and Victor’s decision stood. The crowd was in disbelief. A great match to change the style of the rest of the card. However, Big Jim let his emotions get the best of him, shoving the referee out of the way and dropping Nikita on his head one more time with that devastating piledriver. He held the title over his head, but knew that he could not consider himself champion just yet.
DCW Mid-Ohio Championship 4-Way Elimination No Holds Barred Match
Shawn Draven def. Evan Steele, L-Ray & “Midnite” Matt Ryan
The finals for the “Extreme” Tournament, with all four winner from the first round, meeting in a 4-Way, No Holds Barred Match. The winner would become the DCW Mid-Ohio Champion! “Midnite” Matt Ryan was the first eliminated, after a brutal double forearm shot to the face from former DCW Tag Team Champions, L-Ray and Evan Steele. Both men worked together, but it quickly turned for the worst, as the partners knew it was every man for himself. Later on, Shawn Draven took advantage as he had control of a steel chair, and hit both L-Ray and Evan Steele with it. He then rolled his second victim of that assault, L-Ray, back into the ring and was able to pin him for the elimination. It was down to Evan Steele and Shawn Draven to crown the new DCW Mid-Ohio Championship. In the end, Shawn Draven would nail the Shadows Driver from the top turnbuckle. Evan Steele landed right on his head, and it was academic from there. While Draven celebrated his victory along with the fans, the partial story was the worry for Evan, who landed right on his head. According to the DCW Hotline, this injury could be career-threatening. The show closed with Steele being escorted to the back by anybody that was willing to offer assistance.
With the Extreme Tournament now in the books, what condition will all the DCW stars be in, heading into Springfield a week from Saturday? Find out at the Springfield YMCA on Saturday, February 7th, 2009! The doors open at 7 PM and bell time is 7:30! $10 for adults, $5 for children 15 and under.
