CCW Officially Ceases Operations

The promotion that was known as Classic Championship Wrestling, and a feeder to the Dynamic Wrestling Alliance, has been closed and sold. The specifics have not been hammered out, nor has the name of the new owners been made public.

It was noted that on Wednesday afternoon, Colonel Jonathan James and “The Classic Icon” Brett Michaels had announced that they had vacated the CCW Heavyweight Title and had left the company, as did Dewey Brown. It was also stated that “Magnificent” Princeton Travis had left the promotion on Thursday, as well.

The CCW website is still up though the heading states, “Promotion formerly known as CCW”. Sources say the site will stay open as an archive site and may resume if another promotion from the DWA were to resume.
