We are currently working on our return date of March 19, 2010 to Owensville for NexGen 2: A Friday Night Fight! More news on this event in the coming weeks!
Fans we also are proud to announce that on Wed. February 24th we will debut our own Web Series featuring all your favorite NexGen talent and featuring never before seen footage as well as some of the best moments from 1-30-2010! More on this as it comes forward in the next week also.
The NexGen debut event DVD should be out of post production and available to our online fans within the next two weeks, so make sure you keep an eye out for that as well.
Now on to some news coming out of our January 30, 2010 mega event!
Cody Hawk made a huge surprise appearance at the NexGen show, the first time he has been in the Clermont area in nearly four years just miles from the Red Barn in Batavia where he and the NexGen Director of Authority Matt Stryker used to tear down wrestling show after wrestling show. It was a sight to see these two Icons together once again as Hawk saved Stryker from the clutches of Kaden Assad following is “victory” over Jesse Emerson.
But the big surprise came when after they embraced, Hawk turned and spat into the face of Matt Stryker. The stunned crowd could only watch as Hawk bailed out of the ring and exited the building leaving is former friend stunned and angry. Word has it Stryker will address this on the debut episode of NexGen’s web series later this month and hopefully we’ll hear from Cody Hawk as well as to why he did what he did.
More friends are at each others throats as the Main Street Youth may be over before its even begun in NexGen Wrestling. Jake Omen and Scotty Young entered the promotion as a unit, albeit a unit that disagreed on the rules of wrestling. But during the four corners elimination match Scotty took advantage of Omen to eliminate him from the match! Omen was beside himself with anger, which he took out on the fans ringside. Can these two repair the mistrust and become a force in the Tag Team Division or are they destine to lock up one on one in the future?
And talk about anger. Two tag teams that have never faced each other locked up Saturday Night and what started as a standard tag team wrestling match broke down quickly into a physical war between the Soul Shooters (Dru & Q Skillz) and the Black Irish Saints (Damien Kass & Devlin Anderson). No winner was declared in the tag match so Matt Stryker and NexGen president Todd Mitchell have decided to make a rematch for March 19, 2010 at NexGen 2: A Friday Night Fight!
