PWO News: Sex Appeal Win Tag-Team Titles

Posted on January 18, 2010 by

Shocking developments courtesy of this past weekend’s episode of PWO TV, as the scheduled tag title match pitting The Clash defending the crown against The Puerto Rican Wrecking Crew was interrupted and turned upside down by the members of Sex Appeal, who used cheap boardroom tactics and behind-the-scenes politics to get exactly what they wanted.

The incident began when Bobby Shields raised a formal protest against PWO for postponing a scheduled match which would see Shields challenge Aaron Draven for the PWO Television Championship. The match was delayed due to a Draven injury, but Shields felt that was unfair to him, and that the contract of that title match was not honored. As a result, Sex Appeal’s personal attorney Chris Kenny threatened PWO with a breach of contract lawsuit unless Sex Appeal were given an additional title shot of some kind. Because of that, Bobby Shields & Bobby Beverly were allowed entry into our tag team title match, ultimately securing the victory and the championships. However, Sex Appeal’s greed and over-inflated sense of self-worth did not stop there as, despite already getting what they wanted, they kept asking for more and more.

Sex Appeal’s personal attorney was once again in the PWO offices all Monday morning, nagging and bothering and pestering management for hours on end with his litigious lecturing. The attorney claimed that since it was “Sex Appeal” as a group that was granted the title shot officially in writing, and not any two specific members of the group, that ANY two members of the group could be allowed to defend the PWO Tag Titles at any given time, NOT just Beverly & Shields. PWO officials were leery of this line of thought, but after more legal jargon, including a video camera & legal flashcards, management finally gave in to the request to avoid further costly legal action.

As a result, with Bobby Beverly competing for the PWO Heavyweight Title this Sunday, it has been signed as Bobby Shields & Nicki Valentino to be defending the gold against the very questionable tag team of Marion Fontaine & Noj the Wild Samoan, who have experienced significant problems behind the scenes as of late. Can Sex Appeal succeed with this formula, following in the footsteps of legendary tag teams such as The Fabulous Freebirds and Demolition who have done the same? Or can the last semblances of “Fontaine’s Freaks” score their biggest win yet for society’s overlooked? We will find out when this match takes place THIS Sunday afternoon in Niles (suburban Youngstown), Ohio at the Eastwood Expo Center!
