Resurrection kicked off with The Voice of W.A.R. Wrestling Slick Rick welcoming us to the return of W.A.R. Wrestling and introducing W.A.R. Owner The Postmaster Big Tom Williams. The Postmaster asked all the wrestlers to come down to the ring and then lead the show with a 10 bell salute to the wrestlers who have given their lives for the wrestling business with specific emphasis on the memorial of W.A.R. Original Sweet Stevie Lee (Russell Hardman) who passed away on October 12, 2005.

Several minutes after the tribute, Bad Attitude Brian Beech and Metal Head Steve Stone came out and thanked the W.A.R. fans for all of their support. Then, they asked The Postmaster to come back out.

The Postmaster shocked the crowd when he announced that he was stepping down as owner to manage Stamp Lickage because of what he called a conflict of interest. In his place will be a formal Board of Directors. As such, the Board of Directors asked for a clean slate, and The Postmaster had the difficult task of stripping Metal Head Steve Stone of the W.A.R. Championship.

Sherman Tank, General Lee, and Brandon Blaze all made their way down to the ring as Steve Stone grabbed a chair from the outside. After a tense standoff, Steve Stone shocked the Lima crowd by turning on The Postmaster and blasting him in the back with a steel chair. The group proceeded to beat down The Postmaster and Bad Attitude Brian Beech. Matt Mason and Robby Starr attempted to come to their rescue, but the numbers game caught up with them, and they were incapacitated as well.

Dusty Dillinger came down to the ring smirking, as if everything had gone perfectly to plan. Steve Stone, Sherman Tank, Brandon Blaze and General Lee pulled The Postmaster to his feet as Dusty took his time grabbing a steel chair. Just as Dusty was about to hit The Postmaster, he turned and blasted Metal Head Steve Stone with the chair, much to the crowds delight.

Dusty proceeded to clear the ring with the steel chair, then got on the microphone and announced that he was indebted to The Postmaster because when he got sick, The Postmaster was the only one that called him and then Dusty said he wanted a match with Steve Stone for the W.A.R. Championship.

The Postmaster granted Dusty Dillinger the match, and made it a steel cage match! The Postmaster also announced Brandon Blaze would go one on one with Bad Attitude Brian Beech and that Matt Mason and Robby Starr would take on Sherman Tank and General Lee.

After all parties made their way to the back, Slick Rick asked everyone to rise for the national anthem, and W.A.R. Wrestling kicked off with its first match of Resurrection.
