Lexi Pillman, Daughter of Brian Pillman, Dead at 26
Posted: November 27, 2009
Although we cannot 100% confirm this story at this time, PWInsider is reporting that Lexi Pillman, stepdaughter of the late Brian Pillman, has passed away. The following is the original story, as well as the update, from PWInsider…
Alexis Pillman, the stepdaughter of the late Brian Pillman, who had been working independents on and off in last year as “Sexi” Lexi Pillman, passed away yesterday at the age of 26.
Pillman had debuted as a manager in January 2008, working a Georgia independent group and had appeared for Showtime All-Star Wrestling in TN as a valet for Sean Casey as well as a number of other independent promotions since that time.
She also made an appearance at a June 2008 TNA house show in Cincinnati, where she worked as a ring girl and specific mention was made of her stepfather’s heritage to the live crowd.
We don’t have any details in regard to her passing but word began spreading this evening among the independent circles in the Mid-West area. Sean Casey, who was trained by Brian Pillman, posted a memorial graphic in her memory on his official Myspace earlier today.
Our deepest condolences to the Pillman family and friends at this time.
1:40 AM Update: We have been informed Pillman passed away following a car accident. We don’t have further information at this time. Again, our condolences to the entire Pillman family and friends during this terrible time.

Another red hot crowd took part in the HWA’s weekly tradition in Middletown last night. Here’s what went down…
One half of The Kosher Klub, Joseph Schwartz, kicked off the show in winning fashion when he came out on top of a Triple Threat Match against Christopher Saint and Xavier Justice.
Next up was a rematch from the previous week as Jesse Emerson once again showed no fear as he stepped into the ring with “The Most Dangerous Man in the HWA” Jon Moxley.
The competitive match showcased the athleticism of both Emerson and Moxley, but it was Emerson who would outmaneuver Moxley and pick up the 1-2-3.
The latest chapter in the Brian Beech/Ron Mathis saga was written as the two former tag team partners would collide for the third time since the team split in September. Beech and Mathis both hold disqualification victories over the other and both were looking to pick up a definitive win last night, unfortunately for them it did not happen. Instead, Beech and Mathis battled to a double count out. The action got so intense on the floor that all available security and HWA officials were needed to break the men apart.
Next up was a Four Team Elimination Match to crown #1 contenders for the HWA Tag Team Titles.
The teams included The Noble Bloods (Lord Matthew Taylor & Sir Chadwick Cruise), The Madness (who had to go it alone, when his partner JT Stahr was unable to appear) Utterly Fabulous (Kid & Sid) and The Irish Airborne (Dave & Jake Crist).
With 7 men involved in a single match, senior official Joe Kopasz had his hands from the opening bell, as the fans were dazzled by a series of insane over the top rope dives, by Utterly Fabulous and The Irish Airborne as all hell broke loose.
The first team eliminated was Utterly Fabulous, who put up a fight and absorbed a lot of punishment, before their elimination.
Next out was “The Madness” Chris Hall, who found out going it alone was probably not the best move he could have made, especially in there with a team as proficient as The Irish Airborne.
That left The Irish Airborne with two men who have made their lives miserable for months, The Noble Bloods.
The Noble Bloods did everything they could to prevent The Irish Airborne from winning and challenging their king, King Vu and Jon Moxley, but there was no stopping the Airborne last night as they went on to win the match and earn a shot at Royal Violence on the November 11th Sorg show.
And in the main event of the evening, “The Angelic Assassin” Aaron Williams successfully defended his HWA American Luchacore Title against the reigning HWA Heavyweight Champion “King Vu” Richard Phillips.
Vu, who is also co-holder of the HWA Tag Team titles, was attempting to make HWA history as the only man to hold all the available championships simultaneously.
Vu seemingly took Williams a little lightly in the early goings of the match, but as the match wore on, Vu gained a great deal of respect for the man who has solidified the HWA American Luchacore title as a major championship.
But King Vu also showed Williams why he was the top man in the HWA, dishing out the punishment and withstanding Williams’ onslaught of offense.
Only one man could be the better man last night and that man was Williams, who not only retained his title but has a pin fall victory over the HWA Heavyweight Champion to his credit!

| 7:30 PM | to | 10:30 PM |
PWO Live will return to the Cleveland area on December 5, 2009…however due to an unforeseen building issue, PWO regrets to inform you that it will not take place at Lincoln-West High School. However, PWO fans, and especially members of those surrounding communities, fear not, as PWO has secured a brand new venue for Saturday night, December 5 right down the street!
PWO’s final television taping of the year will now take place at the Hispanic UMADAOP Youth Center (formerly St. Michael’s Gruss Hall), located at 3115 Scranton Road, Cleveland, Ohio, 44109. This venue is only four blocks away from our original home, on the southeast corner of Clark Ave and Scranton Rd, right next to GAS USA, so anyone already planning on attending our great card will still have a convenient and accessible locale.
Belltime is still scheduled at 7:30, and this card will still feature a loaded line-up, including the three championship matches we broke the news on earlier this week, and much more! Tickets for this event can still be purchased on www.PWOwrestling.com for only $10.00, and tickets will also be available the day of the event at the door. This is just a reminder of a small sample of what you will see live December 5, with more to be announced at the end of this week -
MIKE TOLAR RECEIVES REMATCH AGAINST PWO CHAMPION JOHNNY GARGANO!
Collegiate All-American and self-proclaimed “Greatest Thing Going Today” Mike Tolar narrowly came up short in his first attempt at the PWO Championship, however Tolar has done anything but accept the loss in stride. Tolar has spent a number of days petitioning PWO management for an immediate rematch, claiming that he was unfairly victimized by the outside interference of Ben Fruith of all people. Fruith has spent much of the past year as Tolar’s gullible lackey, not realizing he is being used, and it seems Tolar has used this convenient relationship to his benefit again, claiming Fruith jumped into the ring WITHOUT Tolar’s permission with the intent of assaulting Gargano. Tolar also claimed that he himself, ever the gentleman, attempted to calmly ask Fruith to please leave the ring, and in the ensuing confusion Gargano suckered Tolar from behind to cheaply retain his championship.
Anyone watching that match knows that story is far from true, and Tolar has only himself to blame for both Fruith’s involvement and the eventual loss, but after a lengthy meeting PWO officials conceded and granted Tolar his rematch. Gargano, who has vowed to be a fighting champion, shown by already granting an eventual title match to M-Dogg 20 Matt Cross in the future, was quick to accept this challenge as well. Will Gargano be successful for a second time against arguably the best pure athlete in PWO today? Or can Mike Tolar achieve what he believes to be his destiny and truly prove his status as “The Greatest Thing Going Today”?
CLASH DEFEND TAG TITLES AGAINST DEBUTING PUERTO RICAN WRECKING CREW
Ernie Ballz & Brian Bender, The Clash, have been the team to beat in PWO in 2009, and as we head toward the end of the calendar year, new challengers are emerging for the Clash’s crown. The Puerto Rican Wrecking Crew, Luis Diamante & Isaac Montana, have amassed a dangerous and formidable reputation for themselves in a variety of smaller regional promotions over the past several years, to the point where PWO officials feel they will be worthy challengers to the brazen and boisterous Clash. The Clash have been on a roll, not only dividing & conquering the legendary duo of Greg “The Hammer” Valentine & Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart, but narrowly squeaking out another victory when Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake attempted to use their own dirty tricks against them. The Clash have not only been good, they’ve been lucky, a dangerous combination. Will The Clash get their comeuppance against the Puerto Rican Wrecking Crew? Can Diamante & Montana score a big win as proud representatives of the entire Latin American community? Or can The Clash find a way to survive still PWO Tag Team Champions?
PWO TV CHAMPION OMEGA AARON DRAVEN vs. BOBBY “THE BODY” SHIELDS
The gutsy and tenacious thrill-seeker of PWO, Omega Aaron Draven, has been fighting badly injured ribs since the summer, and though he overcame the injury to miraculously become PWO’s first TV champion, Draven’s luck soon ran out. Omega refused to rest his injuries, continuing to work through them at a feverish pace, until they became too severe to tolerate, and doctors forced Draven to stay out of action for several weeks until he was 100%. As a result, PWO granted Draven a slight extension in his mandatory title defense window, which upset his top challenger, Bobby Shields of the superficial super-group Sex Appeal. The Body has been looking for a conspiracy as to why his title match was pushed back. Shields claims he was 100% ready, focused, and more beautiful than ever, as it isn’t fair that the match be rescheduled to a later date. After scoring the winning pinfall for his team at Wrestlelution 2, and emphatically winning his match with Ben Fruith, few can argue Shields’ preparation. Will Shields make Sex Appeal just a little bit better looking by adding gold or can Omega Aaron Draven, finally 100%, harness the same energy and guts and courage that led him to the television title in the first place?
Plus:
- “PWO’s Most Dominant Man” Jason Bane has a $10,000 bounty placed on his head to go to anyone who can eliminate him from PWO. How will Bane respond and who will attempt to collect the bounty?
- M-Dogg 20 Matt Cross will be in action just days after returning to the U.S. after his tour of Australia where he competed on live events headlined by iconic figures such as Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan. What impact will M-Dogg make?
- Gregory Iron is scheduled to appear, but what condition will he be in after the 3-on-1 assault from Sex Appeal recently on PWO TV?
- Plus: Bobby Beverly, Nicki Valentino & Dawn Decadence of Sex Appeal, “Big Bear” Benjamin Boone, Hobo Joe, Matthew Justice, and many more!

DWA: Wrestle For Hunger Postponed Until 2010
Posted: November 24, 2009
Just received this from Dynamic Wrestling Alliance…
I want to say I am sorry I waited the weekend to inform everyone involved with and waiting to attend our record breaking event that it will not be taking place as scheduled. We have electrical issues in our California venue and more importantly, I screwed up on The Guinness record by not knowing until Friday that records need to be submitted a month prior to said attempt. I cannot in good faith ask anyone to undertake the grueling mental and physical 75 hour event knowing it should have counted and did not. If waiting until the new year will make that difference to all involved, then so be it. Watch for more information on the rescheduling of this event. We wish to encourage any and all who were planning on attending to still donate food to the Free Store Food Bank or similar local charity. Times are hard for lots of people these days and we wish everyone a safe and Happy Thanksgiving. Thank You
