HWA AMERICAN LUCHACORE CHAMPION AARON WILLIAMS vs. TIM DONST – NON TITLE MATCH!
“Astonishing” Aaron Williams fresh off victories over Chance Prophet on Friday night and against ROH superstar Jimmy Jacobs on Saturday Night in Indianapolis will step into the ring with Tim Donst one more time this Wednesday in the main event.
Donst’s rivalry with Williams started at The Sorg this past February when Donst and The Hybrids shaved the head of Aaron Williams on Wednesday night the two will meet for the last time.
HARDCORE RELIGION vs. THE LOVE CONNECTION
Last week Brian Beech’s temper caused the tag team match between Hardcore Religion and The Love Connection to end in a disqualification. Add in the fact that Matt Taylor found himself on the wrong end of the leather strap this past Friday at Drake Younger’s Psycho Circus and you have a very motivated Matt Taylor and Chad Cruise going into the rematch against the always intense team of Brian Beech and “Relentless” Ron Mathis… a formula for one wild tag team match!
KID FABULOUS vs. “KING VU” RICHARD PHILLIPS
Last week King Vu took it to Kid Fabulous’ tag team partner, Sid. This week Kid is looking to avenge the beating his partner took when he steps into the ring with King Vu. Meanwhile, King Vu will be looking to continue his path of destruction.
PLUS V-RAD AND AARON XTREME IN ACTION!

Results – HWA: The Psycho Circus – 7/31/09
Posted: August 4, 2009
Friday Night July 31st was without question the bloodiest and most brutal night of HWA action in history as things got hardcore in the heartland at Drake Younger’s Psycho Circus!
Things kicked off with an over the top rope Bunkhouse Stampede. The final four participants included JT Stahr, Matt Taylor, Chad Cruise and V-Rad. And it was V-Rad who defied the odds and won the Bunkhouse Stampede.
The HWA American Luchacore Championship was on the line next with the debuting Chance Prophet taking advantage of the open challenge President for the Day Drake Younger made for anyone to come in and face the champion “Astonishing” Aaron Williams.
Prophet looked good against Williams, but the champion looked even better that night as Aaron walked away the winner.
Drake Younger then made his first appearance of the evening as he introduced the first ever Drake Younger Invitational… and the first match in the Invitational would see Dameon Daniels (substituting for The Juggulator) against “Relentless” Ron Mathis in a Thumbtack Match.
Mathis absorbed a great deal of punishment at the hands of the larger Daniels, but he proved resilient as he blocked out the pain and defeated Daniels with a splash from the top rope to claim victory and advance into the Fans Bring The Weapons finale.
The second match in the Drake Younger Invitational would pit Jon Moxley against Scotty Vortekz in a Dog Collar Match. And while the two men were chained together they were not chained down as the action spilled out of the ring and all the way into the balcony of The Sorg Opera House.
In the end “The Most Dangerous Man in the HWA” Jon Moxley would walk out the winner and advance into the finals.
The third and final opening round match in the Drake Younger Invitational featured the man himself, Drake Younger against Christian Faith in a Four Corners of Fun match. Weapons included a pizza cutter, a cheese grater, a kendo stick and a water jug bat.
The hardcore action from earlier was taken up a few levels of ultra-violence as a bloody Drake Younger fought his way to victory over the larger Christian Faith putting Drake in the finals with Mathis and Moxley.
Christian Faith’s tag team partner Vincent Nothing was up next as he squared off with “King Vu” Richard Phillips. Vu who has been having his way with some of the smaller members of the HWA roster had his hands full with the powerhouse Nothing.
But with The Love Connection at ringside, Vu got the win as he marches towards HWA Road To Destiny on August 22nd to fight HWA Heavyweight Champion Jake Crist.
After the match, Matt Taylor who demands he be the only man to introduce Deja Vu got in the face of guest ring announcer Tim Tatum. Unfortunately for Taylor, Tatum’s boss for the night Drake Younger was listening and he punished Taylor for disrespecting one of his employees by putting Taylor in the leather strap match with Brian Beech, since Beech’s scheduled opponent, “The Madness” Chris Hall failed to appear.
Even worse, Taylor had no time to prepare for the match as it was happening right then and there.
Beech showed up the referee strapped both men in and the action was on. Taylor put up a fight but he was in the wrong place at the wrong time against the wrong guy as “Bad Attitude” Brian Beech got the better and got the win over one half of The Love Connection.
Then in the main event it was the finale of the Drake Younger Invitational as Ron Mathis, Jon Moxley and Drake Younger put their bodies on the line in a Three Way Elimination Fans Bring The Weapons Finale.
Despite being eliminated first after being put through light tubes, Ron Mathis turned a lot of heads with his performance in a high pressure, extremely dangerous main event situation.
Words can not even begin to describe the torture the two remaining combatants did to one another, as Jon Moxley and Drake Younger continued to have one of the bloodiest rivalries in all of independent wrestling.
But on Friday Night July 31st it was Jon Moxley who beat Drake Younger at his own game, winning the first ever Drake Younger Invitational.
After the match Drake gave Mox his props, but also issued a challenge to meet him in a rematch on Saturday Night August 22nd at the Norwood Recreation Center as part of HWA Road To Destiny.
If you are a fan of hardcore wrestling this will be a must see DVD release!
Results – DWA in Sayler Park, OH – 8/01/09
Posted: August 4, 2009
The Dynamic Wrestling Alliance made their return to Sayler Park and the Parkland Theatre & Entertainment Center tonight and brought six big matches to those in attendance. To start the night off was another Over-the-Top-Rope Rules Match between the King of the Battle Royal, The Royal Battler, and his opponent, Kajun Kountry’s own, Big D. They traded punches and chops for most of the match until Big D was able to pick up Battler for a slam. He dumped him over the top rope but Battler stayed on the apron. Big D went to kick him off but the Royal Battler moved and pulled the rope down, straddling Big D on the top rope. A minute and an elbow drop later saw both men on the mat being given a referee’s 10-count. Colonel Jonathan James emerged from the back and slowly crept to the ring. As Big D was attempting to chokeslam The Battler, James grabbed Charlie, D’s pet hamster. This drew Big D’s attention enough for the Royal Battler to dump him over the top rope and to the floor for the win.
Next was an Elimination 3-Way Dance between “Lightning” Tim Lutz, “Fighting Irish” Ryan O’Bryan and the “Saturday Night Franchise” Damien Daniels. Daniels was the first to go after a SuperKick from Ryan, a BlockBuster by Lutz and a Frog Splash from O’Bryan led to his pinfall. This left O’Bryan and Lutz to battle it out and the DWA’s Irishman SuperKicked Lutz on his way to the match victory.
Next was to be the return DWA Tag Team title match between reigning champs Princeton Travis & Modu Zapetta and former champs Army of Darkness. AOD member GhostRider was not at the building and Rivers tried to get the match postponed but DWA Wrestling Czar David Robinson declared the match still on, but with Natasha Rivers in GhostRider’s place. She was not a factor in the match as Malice hit his Reverse NeckBreaker on Travis only to have Princeton kick out at the two-count. This infuriated Malice and he attacked the referee to cause the Disqualification.
The fourth match of the evening was between “Bulldog” Garf Redman and “The Showcase” Beauregard Jefferson Davis. This too was a rough physical match as the two traded punches, shoves and chops. At the end, Davis called for the Colonel to climb up on the apron. He whipped Redman toward James only to be reversed and was caught in the back by a well-placed knee from the Colonel. As James watched in horror, Redman caught Davis in a SpineBuster and then pinned. This once again led to a shouting and shoving match between James and Davis. The Showcase grabbed The Colonel and was about to hit him when James yelled something about an envelope to Beauregard. A shocked Davis released James and quickly and quietly left the ring.
This then brings us to the match between “Bulldog” Dan Hansen and the “Canadian Destroyer” Bull Newlun. This match did not go very long as Newlun lined Hansen up early and hit him with a Bullseye. After the three-count, Newlun delivered three more for good measure, leaving Hansen laying in the ring.
The Main Event featured DWA Heavyweight champion The Phantom and Tri-State champion Jordan Lachey. Robinson the Czar came out and stated that since both competitors were titleholders, he made the match a “Title VS Title” match. There was no finish to this match as Newlun slid into the ring, avoided a Lachey clothesline and then viciously Bullseyed the Tri- State champion. Bull then covered Lachey with his Canadian Flag and grabbed the mic. He told the crowd that on August 22nd at the Price Hill Community Center, he and Jordan would meet in a “No Holds Barred” match. With that said, Newlun picked up the Tri-State belt and dropped it onto the fallen body of Lachey.
The Boss, who was ring announcing in the place of the hospitalized Dave Michaels alerted the crowd that the DWA would return to Sayler Park on Thursday night, August 27th at 7pm.

Final Card For Sunday’s PWO: Wrestlelution II
Posted: August 4, 2009
It is an event two years in the making. When Pro Wrestling Ohio first formed, a new, young, hungry roster emerged with dreams and aspirations of grand success. For one year they valiantly fought, and last summer met a life and career-altering “Wrestlelution”, the effects of which we still feel today. Still they continued to fight on – the competition tougher, the sacrifices greater, and the audiences larger than ever before. After two years of evolution, of growth, of turmoil, and of chaos, Pro Wrestling Ohio, and all those within it, reach a “Coming of Age”.
On Sunday afternoon, August 9, at 3:00 pm, the stars and personalities of Pro Wrestling Ohio converge on the same place they made history one year ago, the Nautica Pavilion, 2014 Sycamore Street in downtown Cleveland, with the singular goal of raising the bar higher and farther and ever previously thought. The stakes have been raised, the rewards have been elevated, the dream has come closer to a reality. It is a coming of age for a young company constantly evolving. It is a coming of age for a locker room of young men and women hoping to reach the next plateau of their career. For all involved it is a true coming of age, and the ultimate “Wrestlelution”.
Final Announced Card:
NO DQ PWO Championship Match: Josh Prohibition defends against Johnny Gargano
Josh Prohibition and Johnny Gargano have been intertwined with one another for nearly four years. Prohibition and Gargano were unstoppable throughout PWO’s first year, and seem poised to remain on top for years to come. However, when Johnny Gargano was granted a PWO Title shot at Matt Cross, instead of Josh, who had grown obsessed and consumed with the PWO Championship, jealousy and ego began to tear apart what was once though inseparable. Josh constantly told Johnny that “we” would become PWO Champion, though Josh’s intentions seemed much more selfish. Josh fed Johnny bad advice that led to Gargano losing his title match, and the opportunistic Prohibition swooped in, challenged an exhausted Cross, and easily stole the title for himself. With Josh Prohibition demanding more and more of the spotlight, and men like Matt Cross and Super Hentai telling Gargano that Josh needed Johnny more than Johnny needed Josh, Gargano knew it was time to make a big step in his career. Gargano stood up to the tyrannical Prohibition and demanded a shot at the PWO Title that should rightfully be his. The challenge was accepted, and in just a matter of weeks, the battle became very personal. For Josh Prohibition, it is his chance to prove himself as the star of the team, and to kill his creation and rid him from PWO for good. For Gargano, it is an opportunity to realize his potential, come into his own, and prove he is more than Josh’s “puppet”. This match will lead to a true coming of age… or the ending of one.
PWO Tag Team Championship: Greg “The Hammer” Valentine & Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart defend against The Clash
Ernie Ballz & Brian Bender feel it is their destiny to become PWO Tag Team Champions and usher in a new era of tag team wrestling. After months of chasing the gold, their path was blocked by two very unlikely individuals. Greg Valentine & Jim Neidhart are career-long tag team specialists, Valentine with such partners like Brutus Beefcake & Ric Flair, and Neidhart in the famed Hart Foundation with brother-in-law Bret Hart, but the two had never teamed before uniting in Pro Wrestling Ohio, where they shockingly captured the PWO Tag Team Championships. Valentine & Neidhart are proving there’s still plenty of gas left in the tank, and that age is only a number, and they still have a lot to offer to the sport of professional wrestling. The Clash sent a violent message that they will not be ignored, however, as they sneak-attacked the legends in the locker room following a recent title defense. Will Valentine & Neidhart continue their unprecedented title reign or will The Clash usher in a new era, force change, and finally emerge as PWO Tag Team Champions?
Ohio vs. Michigan: Al Snow w/Head vs. “Amazing” N8 Mattson
Since his entrance into PWO, “Amazing” N8 Mattson has sung the praises of his home-state of Michigan, while degrading and insulting anything that has to do with Ohio. The Michigan elitist even spent last fall issuing open challenges against anyone in Ohio in an effort to prove his superiority. After a severe ankle injury last spring, Mattson returned to PWO a few weeks ago and declared that from now on he’d wrestle on his own terms. However, he had forgotten to take his “Michigan vs. Ohio” open contracts off the table! The challenge was accepted by an internationally-known star and a Lima, Ohio native – Al Snow. Al’s seen worldwide success in ECW and WWE, capturing numerous championships, but proudly returns to his home-state to fight for its honor. It’s the Michigan elitist versus the leader of the JOB Squad. Can N8 Mattson prove Michigan’s superiority or will Al Snow win one for the Buckeye State?
Dumpster Match: The Gambino Family (w/Agent Aaron Maguire) vs. Jason Bane & Hobo Joe
Aaron Maguire lost everything when Jason Bane ran his former charge out of PWO last year. A penniless and depressed Maguire was forced to live out on the streets, where he struck up a friendship with Hobo Joe. After several weeks of outlandish training, it seemed Maguire was prepared for life on the streets. However, Maguire’s past caught up with him in the form of Marshall “The Bull” & “Nice Guy” Mickey Gambino. The Gambinos were very physically pursuing the rest of the debts Maguire had owed to him from a year ago, and with his health in danger, Maguire hatched a plan. His roommate Hobo Joe, had just won $25,000 in the Ohio State lottery, and after several weeks of buttering him up, Maguire convinced Hobo to trust Maguire with the cash and “invest” it. A gullible Hobo obliged, but it didn’t take long to see what Aaron’s “investment” truly was. Aaron not only paid off his debt, but took on the intimidating Gambinos as clients, and immediately put them to work. The Gambinos screwed Bane out of a PWO Title opportunity, and attempted to shove Hobo Joe in a dumpster and set it on fire! Bane & Hobo were officially on the ‘hit list’, but rather than cower and run, they chose to stand up and fight and challenge The Family to a Dumpster Match! No disqualifications, anything goes, and the only way to win is to place both of your opponents into the dumpster and shut the lid. Will The Family carry out their hit or can Bane & Hobo stand up to Aaron Maguire’s newfound Mafioso connections?
Special Guest Ring Announcer: Legendary Cleveland Brown Bob Golic
Championship Contender‘s Match: “M-Dogg 20” Matt Cross vs. “Superstar” Mike Tolar w/Ben Fruith & EJ Georgio
It is an ultimate clash of styles as the Kent State University All-American Mike Tolar battles former AAU United States Junior Gymnastics Team champion and first-ever PWO Champion “M-Dogg 20” Matt Cross. Tolar feels his style of wrestling is far superior to Cross’, and labels M-Dogg with condescending terms such as “stuntman” and “gymnast”. However, Matt Cross has used his innovative aerial tactics to wow audiences all over the world and capture countless championships, most notably the PWO Championship. Cross is more than just a one-trick pony, and brings a diverse and deadly array of offense into every match he competes in. The match is made more interesting by the appearance of Bob Golic, a legendary three-time Cleveland Brown Pro Bowler, Saved By The Bell star, and XFL broadcaster. Three of the best natural athletes in Cleveland sports history will be in the same place at the same time. Which style will win out in this all-important match to determine the contenders in the PWO Heavyweight Title picture?
PWO TV Title Match: Omega Aaron Draven vs. Big Bear Benjamin Boone vs. Super Hentai vs. Virus
Pro Wrestling Ohio was searching for the youngest, hungriest, up-and-coming talent looking to make an impact in PWO, and they found four of the best to compete to become PWO’s very first Television Champion. Omega Aaron Draven won a qualifying match, despite a severely injured back and ribs, and will not be 100% in time for this Sunday. The “Big Bear” has been undefeated since aligning with N8 Mattson and relocating to Michigan. Super Hentai has competed with the best in PWO, and recently qualified during an event in Rio de Janiero, Brazil. The infectious Virus makes his return, after being denied PWO Title opportunities by Josh Prohibition, whom Virus had pinned earlier in the year. These four diverse personalities will collide, but which will make history and be the first ever PWO Television Champion?
Pirate Rules: “Bloody” Morty Rackem vs. Matthew Justice
The team of Pirate Justice was once the most dominant team in PWO, however once they hit a slump, the swashbuckling superstar was quick to point the blame at his tag team partner Matthew Justice. Rackem claimed Justice wasn’t ruthless enough, wasn’t cutthroat enough, and didn’t have the pirate-like mentality to get ahead at all costs. Justice didn’t agree with Rackem’s rulebreaking ways, and stood for his own morals and beliefs. Rackem became increasingly frustrated, as Justice continued to refuse to allow Rackem’s steel-studded belt and chain to be used as a weapon in matches. After Rackem had gotten the team a tag title opportunity, Morty told Justice he had one last chance to prove himself. Justice, trapped in Greg Valentine’s Figure Four Leglock, was thrown the illegal object, but opted to tap out rather than cheat to win. An irate Rackem attacked his partner with the belt, choking the life out of Justice, and challenging him to a match at Wrestlelution 2. This bout will have relaxed rules to allow these two men to properly settle their differences. Will Justice prove he really was tough and ruthless enough or can Rackem bring new meaning to the term “Pirate Justice”.
Sex Appeal w/Dawn Decadence vs. Marion Fontaine’s Freaks
Ever since entering PWO, the vivacious Dawn Decadence has had one message – for Pro Wrestling Ohio to succeed, they need attractive, good-looking, and downright sexy people on television. Dawn recruited “True Talent” Bobby “The Body” Shields, Bobby Beverly, and “Obsession” Caleb Konley to further her cause of ridding PWO of anyone she found unattractive or ugly. However, Marion Fontaine took objection to that mission. As the “friend of the friendless”, Fontaine has given a place of belonging to the outcasts and rejects of society. Now, Fontaine brings Noj the Wild Samoan and Kid Cupid into battle to prove they are worthy of being part of PWO’s elite. Will Dawn Decadence carry out her mission or will Fontaine prove that beauty is in the eye of the beholder?
Women’s Action: Hailey Hatred vs. Portia Perez
Hailey Hatred has been targeted by upstart tag team Eric Ryan & Corey Winters since entering PWO, and the Ryan hasn’t been shy about his chauvinistic views. After a sneak-attack on Hatred, Hailey challenged both to a match, but both shockingly refused, instead choosing to hire the services of Portia Perez, perhaps the best women’s wrestler to ever come out of Canada. However, Hailey has proven her toughness in PWO in the past, as her stunning good looks are a stark contrast to her vicious and violent attitude inside the ring. Will Portia Perez be victorious or will Hailey Hatred overcome, and will she get her hands on Eric Ryan?
Irish Airborne vs. Eric Ryan & Corey Winters
Dave & Jake Crist make their first appearance in PWO together to face the cocky and upstart Ryan & Winters. Airborne are one of the most decorated tag teams in the history of Ohio, and make their long-overdue debut in Pro Wrestling Ohio. Jake Crist is a former co-holder of the PWO Tag Title and would love to get back to the top of the mountain, especially with brother Dave by his side. Ryan & Winters are looking for a career-win and to catapult themselves to the top of PWO’s tag division. Which side will win out in what could be a sign of things to come for PWO’s tag team division?
Live Performance by Curse Icon
Curse Icon, one of the most talented bands in the state of Ohio today, will be on-hand to add some extra flavor to the event, as they perform live during intermission!
…and a few surprises as well!
Don’t be left out, don’t wait to hear about it later, there’s only one way to see this event and its LIVE! Last year, PWO packed over 1,000 fans for the inaugural “Wrestlelution” and will be looking to break that record this year! Head to www.pwowrestling.com or Ticketmaster and reserve your tickets now!

BDW – Bridgeport, OH

| 6:30 PM | to | 10:30 PM |
Black Diamond Wrestling returns to “The Dawg House” in Bridgeport, OH on Saturday August 8, 2009. Doors Open at 6:00 PM with the action scheduled to start at 6:30 PM. Tickets are only $8.00 (advanced) & $10.00 (at the door). Don’t miss the best wrestling the Ohio Valley has ever had to offer, and see the fallout from BDW’s recent “6th Anniversary” event!
Heavyweight Title Match: Jason Gory (c) vs. Jason Cage
BDW Heavyweight champion Jason Gory and the challenger Jason Cage are certainly no strangers in the ring together. The two have had countless battles in and out of Black Diamond Wrestling, and have even teamed together on several occasions. Now the two will collide in the ring once again, in what promises to be a great contest. Jason Cage picked up a big win at the past BDW event with Ryan Mitchell to become the new Tag Team champions, will Cage add another title to his current BDW resume, or will Gory continue to reign supreme???
10,000 Thumbtack Match: Bulldozer vs. Ric Rumskey
Bulldozer has been on a rampage as of late in BDW, from attack police officers to attacking WWE’s own former Diva Search contestant Sara Brooks. One guy who seems to have had enough of seeing this is “Ruthless” Ric Rumskey. At the past show Rumskey built up the courage to confront Dozer, and even go as far as to challenging him to a 10,000 Thumbtacks match. Bulldozer accepted and now for the first time in Black Diamond Wrestling history, a “10,000 Thumbtacks” match will take place. The rules to the match are like any other match, but the ring will be covered in 10,000 flesh piercing thumbtacks! This will be a tough challenge for Rumskey, and the fans are questioning whether or not Rumskey can put the big man Bulldozer down and into the tacks?
2nd Series “Diamond In The Rough” Battle Royal
The “Diamond In The Rough” Battle Royal series continues on, as 10 more BDW stars will compete in the 2nd Round Battle Royal. The first “Diamond In The Rough” Battle Royal that took place last month was won by Bulldozer, as he qualified into the final Battle Royal where there will be $5,000 on the line! Who will go on as the 2nd participant in the final Battle Royal?
Straight Jacket Mafia vs. Puerto Rican Wrecking Crew
At BDW’s 6th Anniversary event, the Straight Jacket Mafia (Apollyon & Sean Dahmer) squared off in the ring to defend their titles against the returning team of the Puerto Rican Wrecking Crew (Isaac Montana & Luis Diamonte). The Wrecking Crew made a strong return by dominating the SJM unlike any team in BDW before them, and going on to winning the BDW Tag Team titles from the Mafia. However, there were cheap tactics used by the Wrecking Crew in winning that match, and the SJM still hold a grudge about that loss. Now they seak revenge for the loss, and the rematch will take place August 8th!
Blue Dragon vs. Vinnie Stone
A grudge that has been going on for months now in BDW continues, as Blue Dragon takes on Vinnie Stone. Each time the two have been in the ring, the match turns into a war. At the 6th Anniversary event, Blue Dragon bloodied up Stone and the aggression has risen since. Now the challenge has been made and accepted, and the two will collide on August 8th!
