Final Two Named for Wrestleution TV Title Match
Posted on July 21, 2009 by V.L. Stricklett
In recent weeks, we’ve seen Omega Aaron Draven and “Big Bear” Benjamin Boone win qualifying matches, earning them a spot in a four-way match-up to crown the first-ever PWO Television Champion, Sunday afternoon, August 9 at 3 pm at PWO Wrestlelution 2: A Coming of Age. PWO has stated they are looking for the youngest and hungriest athletes with untapped potential that are looking to make an impact in Pro Wrestling Ohio. We can now announce the two stars that will round out this field of four.
Super Hentai – This internationally-known star trained in Hayabusa, Japan earned his way into the mix by winning a recent qualifying match in Rio de Janiero, Brazil. Hentai brings a disciplined fury and intensity with him into the ring, and seen him go toe-to-toe with some of PWO’s best. Can Hentai be PWO’s first Television Champion?
Virus – Returning after a several-month hiatus is PWO’s most infectious superstar. Virus was granted a bye into this bout after several months of Virus being refused a PWO Championship match by Josh Prohibition, whom Virus had pinned when we had last seen him. As a result of Prohibition’s politics, PWO management have granted Virus this title opportunity, which could be a definite springboard back to the top of PWO cards.
Add to this the unstoppable power of Michigan’s newest resident “Big Bear” Ben Boone and the risk-taking and high-octane offense of “Omega” Aaron Draven, despite him still battling a severe rib and back injury.
Which of these four young and hungry athletes has what it takes to be the first PWO Television champion? We’ll find out, August 9, Wrestlelution 2.
HWA – Middletown, OH
Posted on July 20, 2009 by V.L. Stricklett
Wednesday Night July 22nd, the HWA will be back at The Sorg Opera House (65 S. Main St – Middletown, OH) with another installment of the Fight at the Opera series!
Tickets are only $5.00! And the action begins at 7:30 PM!
Already signed…
FATAL FOUR WAY MATCH FOR THE HWA TAG TEAM TITLES!
The HWA Tag Team titles will be on the line when The Hybrids (Donovan Cain & Jason Lyte) defend the straps against three teams in a Fatal Four Way Match!
The challengers include a team that has come within an eyelash of winning the titles on two separate occasions, Hardcore Religion (Brian Beech & Ron Mathis), former HWA Tag Team Champions JT Stahr & “The Madness” Chris Hall and the team that beat Stahr & Hall this past Saturday in Norwood, Jesse Emerson & V-Rad!
One by one teams will be eliminated, the last team standing will be the HWA Tag Team Champions!
JON MOXLEY vs. TIM DONST
Last week Moxley & Donst joined forces once again to take on The Irish Airborne. But this time things didn’t go the way Moxley or Donst had planned.
Rumor has it that Donst immediately placed all the blame on Moxley and now for the first time Jon Moxley and Tim Donst will go one on one at The Sorg! And Donst will be accompanied to the ring by his new manager… Danny O’Brien.
“ROOKIE SENSATION” RYAN CAMPBELL vs. “DEJA VU” RICHARD PHILLIPS
“Rookie Sensation” Ryan Campbell is in the unenviable position of being in the ring with “Deja Vu” Richard Phillips this Wednesday.
Vu shocked the HWA when he not only delivered a Stank Line to Jake Crist following their match at HWA Trouble In Paradise, but when he did the same thing to his life long friend Andre Heart!
The Vu that left the ring that night was a Vu we have never seen before and one has to wonder what kind of mind set Vu will show up with this Wednesday.
HWA AMERICAN LUCHACORE CHAMPION AARON WILLIAMS vs. MATT TAYLOR – NON TITLE MATCH
Deja Vu’s new running buddy, Matt Taylor will be in action this Wednesday as well when he steps into the ring with the HWA American Luchacore Champion Aaron Williams in a non-title match!
HWA HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION JAKE CRIST vs. ALA HUSSEIN – NON TITLE MATCH
One can only imagine what is going through the mind of Jake Crist right now. Most people would take some time off to process things, but not Jake Crist. He demanded a match for this Wednesday and he’ll have one when he steps into the ring with the crafty Ala Hussein.
The veteran Hussein could take full advantage of this non-title situation and defeat a champion who has to be less than 100% mentally after what went down at HWA Trouble In Paradise!
PLUS ONE MORE MATCH TO BE ANNOUNCED! CARD SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

Results – HWA: Trouble in Paradise – 7/18/09
Posted on July 20, 2009 by V.L. Stricklett
The Norwood Recreation Center played host to HWA: Trouble In Paradise this past Saturday night, here’s what went down…
The night kicked off with Matt Taylor defeating young Dylan Bostic in the opening match.
Next up, Dave Crist battled Jason Lyte but after interference from Tim Donst caused Dave to lose to Lyte, Dave would then find himself in a second match against Donst.
Once again outside interference would cost Dave the match, but this time from an unlikely source… fired HWA referee, Danny O’Brien. Who we later learned is now the licensed manager of Tim Donst and The Hybrids!
Tag team action was up next as V-Rad and Jesse Emerson got a measure of revenge on JT Stahr and “The Madness” Chris Hall much to the delight of the crowd in Norwood.
“Rookie Sensation” Ryan Campbell and “Astonishing” Aaron Williams hooked it up for the HWA American Luchacore Title in a match that saw Campbell push himself to new limits but champion Aaron Williams would be the man to come out on top in this hard hitting, highly competitive match.
Jon Moxley answered and won Kaden Assad’s open challenge ending Assad’s “win streak” after just one match.
Mixed Martial Arts and Pro Wrestling collided when Norwood’s own Dominique Steele defeated one half of the HWA Tag Team Champions Donovan Cain by TKO in the third round of the special exhibition bout.
“Sweet Sexy Sensation” Andre Heart made his final HWA appearance in Norwood serving as the special ring announcer for the main event match… and what a main event it was.
For nearly thirty minutes “Deja Vu” Richard Phillips and the HWA Heavyweight Champion Jake Crist took it to one another with the richest prize in the HWA hanging in the balance. Vu came close, maybe closer than anyone in defeating Jake Crist, but in the end it was Jake Crist pulling out the victory just as he has done for more than a year.
After the match, Andre Heart praised both men. Deja Vu then wanted to share a few words when he was interrupted by Matt Taylor.
Taylor voiced his displeasure with Andre Heart for abandoning The Love Connection. Jake Crist heard enough of Taylor and shut him up with a superkick… but then the unimaginable happened as Deja Vu delivered a Stank Line to Crist. Andre Heart immediately got in Vu’s face and after Vu claimed he had no problem with Andre only Jake, he delivered a Stank Line to Andre as well.
It looked like Matt Taylor was about to get more of the same, but instead Deja Vu shook the man’s hand and the two left the ring together in what was a surreal moment.
PWO on YouTube – Dumpster Match Video & More
Posted on July 20, 2009 by V.L. Stricklett
Pro Wrestling Ohio has added two new videos to YouTube, and this week they are extra-special features. Two brand new PWO video packages brought to you online fans exclusively, days before their official debut date on the July 26 episode of PWO TV on Sports Time Ohio. These videos set the stage perfectly for two of the biggest matches set for PWO Wrestlelution 2: A Coming of Age, to take place Sunday afternoon, August 9 at the Nautica Pavilion in downtown Cleveland, Ohio with a 3 pm belltime.
Without further delay, Pro Wrestling Ohio proudly presents these two brand new video packages:
PWO Wrestlelution 2 Dumpster Match Video History – Rags To Riches

When Jason Bane defeated Aaron Maguire’s charge Cronus last year, Aaron Maguire lost all his worldly possessions after investing every penny he owned into gambling on a Cronus victory. A now-homeless Maguire was befriended by the loveable Hobo Joe who helped Aaron adjust to his new found lifestyle. But when the dangerous Gambino Family appeared to collect the rest of the money Maguire owed them, Aaron’s true self re-emerged, and when Maguire saw an opportunity to get back on top…he proved that friendship and loyalty are no match for the all-mighty dollar. Aaron Maguire took on two new clients, and began a “hit list” to get back at everyone he feels has wronged him over the past year. This video traces Aaron Maguire’s journey from the penthouse to the poorhouse and back again.
Aaron Maguire leads in Mickey & Marshall Gambino to battle Jason Bane & Hobo Joe in a Dumpster Match at PWO Wrestlelution 2: A Coming of Age! Anything goes and the only way to win is to place your opponents in a Dumpster and shut the lid!
PWO Wrestlelution 2 Video History: Gargano vs. Prohibition – A Coming of Age

Johnny Gargano and Josh Prohibition have a personal and professional relationship dating back nearly four years. Prohibition took Gargano under his wing and helped mold him in his own image, and together the dominated Pro Wrestling Ohio for nearly two years.
However, this relationship soon was soon damaged beyond repair by jealousy, selfishness, and ego. This video package retraces the four year history of Prohibition and Gargano, and how they went from inseparable friends to bitter rivals.
Josh Prohibition defends the PWO Heavyweight Championship against Johnny Gargano in a No-Disqualification Match in the main event of PWO Wrestlelution 2: A Coming of Age, Sunday afternoon, August 9, 2009 at 3 pm from the Nautica Pavilion in downtown Cleveland Ohio.

PWO on YouTube – Legends Attacked & More
Posted on July 18, 2009 by V.L. Stricklett
Pro Wrestling Ohio has added two new videos online in preparation for PWO Wrestlelution 2: A Coming of Age, Sunday afternoon August 9 from the Nautica Pavilion in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, with a 3:00 pm belltime.
Jim Neidhart & Greg Valentine Attacked; Pirate Justice Implodes

July 12, 2009 episode of Pro Wrestling TV ended in complete chaos.
PWO Tag Team Champions Greg “The Hammer” Valentine and Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart defended their titles against “Bloody” Morty Rackem & Matthew Justice. For months, Rackem and Justice have been at odds, with Rackem wanting Justice to display more pirate-like ruthlessness and rulebreaking, most notably his desire for Justice to use Rackem’s steel-studded belt as a weapon. Rackem told Justice this was Justice’s last chance to prove himself or else.
Meanwhile, Valentine & Neidhart weren’t in the clear either, as they received a very physical message from Ernie Ballz & Brian Bender, The Clash!
Johnny Gargano Rebels Against Prohibition

For two years, Josh Prohibition and Johnny Gargano dominated Pro Wrestling Ohio, destroying all opposition in their path. However, this once-thought unbreakable bond was damaged beyond repair when Prohibition stole Gargano’s PWO Title opportunity – and all the spotlight and success that came with it. After weeks of being torn and conflicted, Johnny Gargano finally realized that there was one thing he had to do to his best friend and mentor of nearly four years, or else risk a lifetime of servitude and obscurity.
