Dominion Daniels defeated Loco in the opening bout.
Loco was accompanied by Lil’ Naughty who repeatedly got involved in the match but in the end, Daniels’ power was too much for either of them to overcome enabling him to get the win.
Commissioner Kidwell was interviewed by Joeberg. The Commissioner said that Brian Beech and DDK, who were both notably absent from the evening’s event, were in his garage receiving “shock therapy”. One can only imagine the goings on in Mr. Kidwell’s garage. He also maintained that he will continue to bring order to the chaos that has enveloped XCW over the past months before dazzling the crowd with a magic trick.
1/2 of the newly crowned XCW tag team champions “The Mastodon” Ryan Wylde defeated Poison Q. Skillz of the Soul Shooters by DQ when Skillz used a chair on Wylde after he was unable to score the pin despite numerous attempts. After the bell, the Soul Shooters teamed up on Wylde and left him with a probable concussion after a series of brutal chair shots.
The Big Kahuna succesfully defended the XCW Intense Championship against the returning Steven Maxwell Anderson who maybe should’ve just stayed away. The two big men held nothing back as they battled for supremacy in this bout but Kahuna was eventually able to hit Anderson with the Kahuna slam for the victory.
The other half of the tag champs, Tim Wylde defeated Drew “The Don” Johnson of the Soul Shooters by DQ after Johnson, much like his tag partner earlier in the night, used a chair on the champ. After the match, the Soul Shooters began another brutal attack on Wylde before The Big Kahuna helped Ryan Wylde to ringside and rather than inflict further punishment, the Soul Shooters walked away. The Soul Shooters feel they are the rightful champions having pinned the former champs, Dew Moore, in an elimination bout at our last show where the Wylde Bros. eventually left wearing the gold. Revenge will undoubtedly weigh heavy on the minds of both teams as they await their next meeting.
In the main event, Jason Cross retained the XCW Heavyweight Championship against “Bulldog” Garf Redman when the match was ruled a draw. After a devastating suplex by Redman, both men had an arm draped across the other and both men’s shoulders were down for the 3 count. Thus, Cross retains the title but will most certainly have to face the Bulldog again down the road.
XCW is on summer vacation until the fall. When our next show date is announced, it will be plastered all over your spaces. So until then, send us your address and we’ll send you a postcard from whatever exotic locale the XCW crew should venture to during our break. We will also continue to host live music at the Arena on a regular basis during the summer.
