The Dynamic Wrestling Alliance returned to Laurel, IN this past Saturday with another night of hard-hitting action. If you weren’t there, here’s what went down…
The night began on a sad note as the DWA Legion remembered one of its own, cameraman Paul Berk, who passed away last week.
In the tournament to name a #1 contender for the DWA Tri-State title, ” Fighting Irish” Ryan O’Brian pinned Malice with a sunset flip and Jordan Lachey beat “Canadian Destroyer” Bull Newlun by countout.
In a Battle Royal rules match, The Royal Battler defeated Big D.
In a match where the winner faces DWA Tag Team champions, Army of Darkness, Princeton Travis & Modu Zapetta defeated Double J Enterprises when Zapetta pinned The Colonel after hitting a DDT and then a legdrop from 3/4 of the ring away.
In the Finals of the TS tournament, Jordan Lachey beat Ryan O’Brian by DQ due to the interference by Newlun. After the match Tri-State champ Gator Henry shook Lachey’s hand and said he will be ready to face him in the Main Event.
In a reversed decision, “Bulldog” Dan Hansen defeated DWA champion The Phantom by DQ. Natasha Rivers had hit Hansen from behind enabling Phantom to get the pin, but new DWA Wrestling Czar Dave Robinson reversed the referee’s decision. The AOD then attacked Hansen before Phantom issued a challenge to any of the DWA Roster. The Army then locked the doors as to not allow anyone into the gym. A bang from a back door brought former champion Phoenix into the building to thunderous applause as he went after the current champ. After challenging Phantom for the title, Phoenix told the throng of people that he still had unfinished business with Davis and the Colonel as they were the ones who sidelined him.
In the Main Event, Jordan Lachey pinned Tri-State champion Gator Henry to become the NEW Dynamic Wrestling Alliance Tri-State champion.
