IWA Returns to Girard, Ohio on 7/25/09

The International Wrestling Association returns to action at 7:00 PM on July 25, 2009 at Girard High School on N. Ward Ave. in Girard, Ohio. Tickets are $10.00 and can be purchased in advance by calling (330) 545-5112, or at the door the night of the show. The show is a benefit for Jordan Baer who is in need of a heart transplant. Procceds from the show will be donated toward Jordan’s recovery. All your help in supporting this event will be greatly appreciated by all of those involved.
Main Event: Doink the Clown vs. “Simply Sexy” Shawn Blaze
“The Prince of Pranks” Doink the Clown along with his partner the legendary Honky Tonk Man, were able to defeat the team of Lord Zoltan and “Simply Sexy” Shawn Blaze at IWA’s last show in June. However, Blaze is dead set on handing Doink a loss of his own. Blaze will get his chance in our main event, but what kind of tricks will Doink have up his sleeve?
Intercontinental Title Match: Preston Steele (Champion) vs. Sheik Abdul Hassan
“The Ultimate Male” Preston Steele has had a record setting reign as the IWA Intercontinental? Champion and has taken out everyone who has tried to dethrone him. In this bout of good vs. evil, Steele will not only be defending his title, but also the country he loves so dearly… the good ol’ USA. Will Hassan walk out with the belt around his waist, or will Steele stand strong waving the stars and stripes?
Revenge Match: Flyin’ Ryan Burke vs. Moondog Scrap
On two back to back occasions, Moondog Scrap has attacked his former friend Flyin’ Ryan Burke for reasons only he knows. Last month Burke stormed to the ring to save Johnny Mercury from a two-on-one beatdown and was jumped from behind by Moondog who went as far as injuring Burke’s ribs with a dogbone, attacking IWA officials, and getting himself arrested. Burke has vowed revenge and has claimed nothing can stop what he feels Moondog has coming to him. Who will walk out of this one with their arm raised in victory?
Grudge Match: “Mr. Thriller” Johnny Mercury vs. Shamus Fennigan
Johnny Mercury has been gaining great momentum in IWA and continued it with a win over J-Ru in Warren, Ohio. However, there was no time to celebrate when Shamus Fennigan made his presence known by attacking Mercury with the help of J-Ru. Shamus and Mercury have been at each other’s throats for months, but the score will be settled once and for all in this grudge match where there MUST be a winner.
Ladies Match: Angel Dust vs. Sassy Stephie
Kevin Bradway vs. Scott Prodigy
The Bouncer vs. Axel
