It was more HWA action and excitement on the fourth floor as the HWA weekly tradition continued last night at The Sorg.

HWA Heavyweight Champion Jake Crist kicked off the show addressing the crowd on hand. Jake regretfully announced that his match against his brother Dave was going to be postponed again, however Jake wanted to give the fans a special main event … he then offered to put up the HWA Heavyweight Title against Jesse Emerson.

Emerson, who earned a shot at the title back on March 18th, gladly accepted Jake’s challenge and the match was set.

“Bad Attitude” Brian Beech took it to one half of the HWA Tag Team Champions Donovan Cain in the opening match, scoring the win over Cain and giving the team of Hardcore Religion some serious momentum heading into their title shot next weekend in Norwood.

Lightning Tim Lutz may have defeated V-Rad last week, but this week he was in the ring with V-Rad’s tag team partner, “The Madness” Chris Hall. Lutz put forth a valiant effort, but in the end the size and power advantage of The Madness came into play and Lutz was pinned for the 1-2-3.

Chris The Brain apologized to HWA trainee Ryan Campbell for what happened to him last week when he was his guest on The Pulse, then invited “The Gangsta of Love” Andre Heart to the ring to explain his recent actions towards former partner Ben Kimera.

Andre instead insulted Chris, Ryan and the crowd until Mary Elizabeth Monroe showed up, also looking for answers why Andre did what he did to Kimera back at CyberClash. What she got instead were some crude remarks from “The Gangsta of Love” and attacked from behind by her scheduled opponent, Nevaeh.

The match got off to an impromptu start as Andre Heart watched on and eventually aiding Nevaeh in her victory over Mary Elizabeth.

Next up was a non-title match featuring HWA Cruiserweight Champion Tim Donst against “Deja Vu” Richard Phillips.

It was obvious Donst wanted no part of Vu, but wherever Donst tried to hide “The Double Dutch Bus” would find him.

When the match finally made it into the ring, Vu was still in control. In fact as the match wore on it looked like Vu would be the first man to defeat Donst in the HWA but thanks to Donst’s feet being on the ropes and some of the worst officiating in the history of professional wrestling courtesy of Danny O’Brien, Tim Donst walked out victorious.

Sid Fabulous was once again in singles competition, this time against HWA newcomer, Damien Daniels. Sid held his own against the bigger Daniels in the early goings, but Damien eventually used his brute force to put Sid away and make his HWA debut a successful one.

“Relentless” Ron Mathis continued the momentum of Hardcore Religion when he defeated the other half of the HWA Tag Team Champions Jason Lyte, making it Hardcore Religion -2, The Hybrids – 0!

“The Gangsta of Love” Andre Heart made his second appearance of the evening. With Nevaeh at his side Andre stopped at the sound booth to once again insult HWA trainee Ryan Campbell before entering the ring for his match with Dylan Bostic.

Bostic gave Andre a fight, despite having to deal with constant interference from Nevaeh at ringside. But after the young man from Hollister didn’t connect on a moonsault it was all over but the shouting. The veteran Andre Heart capitalized eventually forcing Bostic to submit. Andre and Nevaeh celebrated the victory in the ring… but the celebration was cut short when HWA trainee Ryan Campbell, jumped into the ring and decided he was going to stand up to Andre Heart.

Andre and Nevaeh exited the ring before Ryan could get physical with them.

Then in the main event of the evening, Jesse Emerson finally got his shot at Jake Crist and the HWA Heavyweight Championship.

The two men competed like true sportsmen. Emerson came close to capturing the championship on many occasions through out the match, but in the end as he has done time and time again over the past ten months, Jake Crist proved to be the better man, retaining the HWA Heavyweight Title.
