On the heels of HWA CyberClash 4.0, the HWA continues their weekly tradition at The Sorg Opera House this Wednesday April 22nd.
The Sorg Opera House is located at 65 S. Main Street in downtown Middletown.
The action starts at 7:30 PM and all tickets are only $5.00!
Already signed…
HWA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS THE HYBRIDS vs. DAVE CRIST & DUSTIN RAYZ
The Hybrids may have come out on top of the Three Way Dance at HWA CyberClash (thanks in part to their partner in crime, Tim Donst) but they’ll have no time to rest as they are set to defend the titles this Wednesday against the dynamic duo of Dave Crist and Dustin Rayz.
The tag team titles have been the proverbial hot potato over the past few weeks could we see another changing of the guard this Wednesday?
“DEJA VU” RICHARD PHILLIPS vs. TIM DONST
The HWA Cruiserweight Champion Tim Donst may have slipped by one of the HWA’s top cruiserweights in the form of “Astonishing” Aaron Williams at HWA CyberClash 4.0, but how will he fare against one of the HWA’s super heavyweights this Wednesday when he meets “Deja Vu” Richard Phillips.
NEVAEH vs. SASSY STEPHIE SINCLAIR
Ladies action returns to the HWA ring this Wednesday when Nevaeh squares off with Sassy Stephie Sinclair.
These two recently competed on Ring of Honor on HDNet but you can see them live and in person this Wednesday.
JESSE EMERSON vs. ALA HUSSEIN
Last week Ala Hussein picked up a shady victory over Jesse Emerson thanks to an assist from Dick Rick Leykis.
Emerson took care of The DR this past Saturday at CyberClash, but now he has some unfinished business with Hussein this Wednesday at The Sorg!.
UTTERLY FABULOUS vs. “THE MADNESS” CHRIS HALL & V-RAD
The boys of Utterly Fabulous are still feeling the effects of “The Madness” Chris Hall’s attack last week when Kid and Sid were participating in the first ever Utterly Fabulous Dance Off.
This Wednesday Utterly Fabulous will have a chance to deliver some payback when they meet Hall and his partner, V-Rad.
PLUS “BAD ATTITUDE” BRIAN BEECH IN ACTION AND APPEARANCES BY HWA HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION JAKE CRIST and ANDRE HEART!

The Heartland Wrestling Association’s debut in Norwood was a huge success as the HWA presented CyberClash 4.0 from the Norwood Recreation Center.
The evening kicked off with HWA Cruiserweight Champion Tim Donst interrupting ring announcer Jon Murray as he was making his opening announcements. Donst berated his opponent for the evening, “Astonishing” Aaron Williams.
Williams heard enough and made his way to the ring with a referee in tow and the HWA Cruiserweight Championship match would get an impromptu start and kick off the event.
Unfortunately for Aaron, his contractually stipulated one and only title rematch did not end well as Tim Donst, Captain of The Crusade managed to slip by Williams with his championship still intact.
It was a battle of the big men next when “Deja Vu” Richard Phillips stepped into the ring with Dean “The Dream” Jablonski. Vu proved to be the better big man in that match, but unfortunately for others an irate Jablonski was not through for the night.
Jesse Emerson closed the books on his feud with “The Natural Selection” Dick Rick Leykis picking up a decisive victory over the HWA’s Only Male Diva.
Ala Hussein was victorious against one half of Utterly Fabulous, Sid Fabulous.
The Hybrids regained the HWA Tag Team Championship winning a Three Way Dance against the teams of Dave Crist & Dustin Rayz and The GP Code (Andre Heart & Ben Kimera).
Crist & Rayz were eliminated first when Tim Donst got involved helping his fellow Crusaders, The Hybrids.
The Hybrids would then go on to defeat The GP Code, when inexplicably Andre Heart betrayed Ben Kimera, allowing The Hybrids to begin their second reign as HWA Tag Team Champions.
After the match Andre Heart snapped, inflicting more punishment as he jammed a steel chair into the throat of Ben Kimera.
It was more brutality with the Norwood Street Fight between the teams of Hardcore Religion (Brian Beech & Ron Mathis) and “The Madness” Chris Hall & V-Rad.
This match saw the combatants pummel one another with chains, chairs, trash cans and kendo sticks.
Things did not look good for Hardcore Religion after “Bad Attitude” Brian Beech was handcuffed to one of the ring posts leaving his protégé “Relentless” Ron Mathis to fend for himself against both Hall and V-Rad.
To his credit Mathis was able to hang in there long enough for HWA officials to call in one of Norwood’s finest to unlock the cuffs.
The unleashed Beech tipped the scales back in favor of Hardcore Religion as they picked up the win!
Kid Fabulous evened the score against Team Iraq, when he defeated Kaden Assad. Unfortunately Utterly Fabulous didn’t have long to celebrate as Dean “The Dream” Jablonski showed up and tore the cult favorites apart.
And finally in the main event… HWA Heavyweight Champion Jake Crist and JT Stahr battled one another in a sure fire Match of the Year candidate with special judges Shawn Stidham, Matt Stryker and BJ Whitmer at ringside.
Crist and Stahr battled for well over 40 minutes delivering the type of match HWA fans have come to expect from the two. But it was the combination of a Tree of Woe Double Stomp and a Mafia Kick that allowed Jake Crist to finally pin the shoulders of his most persistent challenger to date, JT Stahr, and retain the HWA Heavyweight Title.
Unfortunately for Jake, the mad man Dean Jablonski was not done for the evening, and for the second time in a week Jake found himself the victim of a claw face chokeslam. Matt Stryker and BJ Whitmer rushed the ring and it didn’t take long for Jablonski to quickly exit the ring.
Stryker, Whitmer and members of the HWA locker room then came out to help Jake back up to his feet and allow him the chance to soak in his hard fought victory as the red hot Norwood crowd gave him a much deserved standing ovation.

There was one more stop on the road to HWA CyberClash 4.0 as the Heartland Wrestling Association made their weekly stop to The Sorg Opera House Wednesday night.
The now former HWA Tag Team Champions Donovan Cain & Jason Lyte (The Hybrids) made their way to the ring to not only protest their loss of the HWA Tag Team Titles last Saturday night in Peoria, but the violation of the restraining order by Dave Crist after that match. The Hybrids demanded that President Tim Tatum come out and turn over the company to them or else they’d sue.
Instead of Tim Tatum, out came Dave Crist, Dustin Rayz and “Astonishing” Aaron Williams. Dave informed The Hybrids that after seeing his own lawyer last week, the restraining order that he supposedly violated had been thrown out… and that’s when the fists started flying.
With only Donovan Cain and Aaron Williams left in the ring, the referee called for the bell and the scheduled Cain/Williams match ended up starting the show, with Aaron getting the better of Donovan and picking up the win, something he hopes to do against Cain’s fellow Crusader, HWA Cruiserweight Champion Tim Donst this weekend.
Next up was “Relentless” Ron Mathis and V-Rad in singles competition with their respective tag team partners in their corner. Mathis wasted little time going right after V-Rad, but it wasn’t long before The Madness got involved in the proceedings.
Beech was infuriated at ringside as V-Rad picked up a controversial win on Mathis before slipping away with The Madness at his side.
Jesse Emerson went one on one with the returning Ala Hussein, and in a scene reminiscent from last week, Dick Rick Leykis got involved and cost Jesse the match against Hussein. Afterwards Leykis assaulted Jesse with a steel chair working over the ribs of Emerson and softening up the Indianapolis native for their match up Saturday in Norwood.
Dick Rick would then be in legal action as he took on fellow HWA veteran “The Mauler from Motown” Ben Kimera. The match ended abruptly when a battered and bruised Jesse Emerson pulled Leykis out of the ring attacking his CyberClash opponent on the outside forcing the referee to disqualify Ben Kimera and award the match to “The Natural Selection”.
Up next was the first ever Utterly Fabulous Dance Off between Kid and Sid… before the answer to the who is the better dancer in Utterly Fabulous question could be answered, “The Madness” Chris Hall showed up and assaulted Kid and Sid, while V-Rad shouted encouragement from the outside hoping to send a message to Beech and Mathis for this weekend and the Norwood Street Fight.
Dave Crist returned to action after a two week hiatus and defeated Carlton Kaz.
A preview of this weekend’s Tag Team Title Three Way took place as the “Sweet Sexy Sensation” Andre Heart defeated Jason Lyte and Dustin Rayz in a Triple Threat Match, when Heart pinned Lyte.
Andre’s post match celebration was cut short when The Hybrids showed up and double teamed him, until Andre’s GP Code brother, Ben Kimera made the save and took it to The Hybrids and letting them know there was more where that came from in store for them at CyberClash on Saturday night.
And in the main event of the evening, HWA Heavyweight Champion Jake Crist and Deja Vu combined forces to battle JT Stahr and Dean “The Dream” Jablonski in a colossal tag team match.
Stahr picked up a huge amount of momentum when he pinned Jake after Jake was the victim of a claw face chokeslam courtesy of Dean Jablonski.
Unstoppable Wrestling Alliance Closes Doors

Fans, we have just learned that the Unstoppable Wrestling Alliance, which has been making quite a name for themselves over the past few months, has indeed closed it’s doors. The following was posted on the Wrestle Ohio forum by UWA owner, Frank Hughes:
I have posted this press release today to inform you of my decision to resign as CEO of Unstoppable Wrestling Alliance, LLC.
I fully appreciate this decision will come as a shock to members of the company. But it is a decision which, in the past five months current, has grown unavoidable for multiple reasons.
One is my personal and growing sense of outrage at the damage being done to the UWA within. The changes of the governing body and the actions have been a defining episode for me. I have reached the conclusion that, for me, the vision become blind.
Obviously, this has been a terribly hard decision to make. I have only really resolved it in the past week. In making this move, the one deep regret I have is for the dream I leave behind.
Some of those close to me know of the frustrations that have slowly overtaken me. Other people will wonder why I take this step. The answer is that I have found it increasingly difficult to stand in the middle; knowingly that the other side avoid proper procedures, and I have grown so alarmed by the kind of politics being played out.
Over the course the empty-avoidable promises that lead to unsuccessful and un-motivational organized workmanship; is the obstruction that is unjustifiable and not forgotten. The reflection from the past is overwhelmingly noticeable; that questionable reputation of creditability surfaces.
In closing I want to thank everyone who followed me throughout my duration of time; believed of a fulfillment of hope, and aspired by the vision I dreamed. Many people are not credited for their efforts and I sincerely thank you for all the time, hard-work, money, blood, sweat and tears we all have shared to build the UWA from ground-level-up.
- Frank Hughes
Also, the following was posted on the official UWA website sometime last week:
It is with the deepest sadness and regret to inform all of our supporters and loyal fans that the UWA will no longer be able to
perform for you.
There will be no more shows at Sports of All Sorts.
We want to extend our utmost appreciation to each and every one that has been a part of the UWA Family!
Thank you and God Bless!

Fans are calling last night “Black Saturday” due to many factors. Many fan favorites spent the night looking up at the lights, and the new Black Administration firmly established its dominance over the World Wrestling Coalition.
The night started out with the first of many new faces as Chad Cruise hit the ring to take on “Re-Enforcer” Devlin Anderson one on one. While Cruise proved he lived up the hype surrounding his debut he just couldn’t put Anderson away in what turned out to be a physical match. Anderson picked up the win, little did the crowd know it wouldn’t be the last time we saw Anderson in action last night.
Up next another new comer, the very controversial Anti-American wrestler Kaden Assad took on Lil Hulk Jake Ashworth. The crowd was 100% behind Ashworth as the hatred for Assad and his views nearly blew the roof off the Municipal Building. Security had to step up its game to keep a riot from breaking out when Assad used his Iraqi Flag on Ashworth. While Ashworth picked up the DQ victory, Assad continued the assault leaving Lil Hulk laying in the middle of the ring. Man fans are demanding a rematch to see Lil Hulk get revenge on Assad.
The Black Administration came to the ring next led by President Patrick Black, The Hired Gun Nikita Allanov and Miss McKenzie (in wrestling gear). It was announced Cody Hawk again had the night off to prepare for his match with Astonishing Aaron Williams on June 13th inside a Steel Cage for the WWC Championship. The Administration also announced that a women’s match would take place right now as they called Kara Kildare out for her match with McKenzie. The match was clearly one sided as Nikita Allanov served as referee. Allanov stopped any move Kara tried on McKenzie, then to the shock of crowd he layed her out and allowed McKenzie to pull of the win.
This brought out Matt Taylor who had no opponent now that Hawk had the night off. He challenged Allanov to a match right then and there and the match was excepted. Taylor proved to be a thorn in the Administration’s side once more when he picked up the win over the Hired Gun.
“Black Saturday” continued as Jimmy “Prettyboy” Malloy and new Family Bob member Chad Cruise won the tag team titles from the Foundation (Ric Byrne & Superstar Shawn Parks) after Playboy manager Violent Bob Humperdink threw a fireball into Ric Byrne’s face, chaos broke out. This lead to Will Profit and Humperdink to get involved in a fight. Superstar Shawn Parks, by himself now was left to face the tag team alone and couldn’t over come the odds.
But Devlin Anderson & Dave Nevada hit the ring to challenge the new champions to a match on the spot and within minutes the titles changed hands for the second time as Anderson & Nevada became 3 time WWC Tag Team Champions! Solidifying their place as the greatest Tag Team in WWC History!
But their luck ran out as Nevada’s scheduled opponent for the night Dangerous Damien Kass hit the ring to challenge for the North American Championship. Kass brought back up besides his normal valet Naughtia…in the form of Family. But not his family…Devlin Anderson’s little brother David Anderson! With a little help from his new student DDK walked out of Aberdeen with the North American Championship around his waist. The saddest part of this story for Devlin Anderson is, back in October, Devlin introduced David to DDK, who then began training him! So now DDK has a new lackey and its Devlin’s own brother!
And in what is being called an early contender for Match of the Year in a brutal War, Ganger took on Big Kahuna Kenny Lucas in the first ever Loser Leaves WWC Dog Collar Match! And what a war it was. In the coming days you’ll see pictures from this bloodbath as these two men tore each other apart. In the end, Ganger proved to be the master of the chain and did what no other man has laid claim to…he ended Big Kahuna’s WWC career.
The WWC would like to take this time to thank Kenny Lucas for his time with the company. We hope nothing but the best for him. In the next couple of days, www.wwcweb.com will be doing a career retrospect on Kahuna as well as an interview.
Thank you fans for enjoying Fallout 2009, we’ll see you next month in Aberdeen on May 9, 2009.

This past Saturday the HWA made its return to Central Illinois, and what a night of action it was. In case you were one of the unfortunate fans who couldn’t make it out have no fear here’s what went down.
In the opening contest “Bad Attitude” Brian Beech made his return to Central Illinois and made his point when he gave Jesse Emerson an attitude adjustment and landed the three count.
Up next was Dustin Rayz taking on former IWA Mid South Light Heavyweight Champion Jason Hades. This was a back and forth contest which saw each wrestler on the verge of winning multiple times but in the end it was Rayz landing the victory after a devastating double under hook piledriver.
Next up “The Madness” Chris Hall Open Invitational. Madness may have bitten off more than he could chew as he lost to Gilbert Lewis and Blake Steel.
Match 4 marked the HWA debut of Prince Mustafa Ali as he took on Shane Hollister. Many thought the Saudi Prince had met his match but with a quick roll up, and an assist form the ropes that the ref did not see, Prince Ali was victorious in his debut.
Then it was time for The HWA Tag Team Championship match. The Hybrids made their way to the ring along with their fellow Crusader Tim Donst to a chorus of boos. Just as The Hybrids started to give Central Illinois a piece of their mind that familiar music filled the air and the challengers the GP Code made their way to the ring, Everyone knows if the GP Code know how to do one thing its how to DO IT BIG and they greeted the crowd in Central Illinois by driving in the front door with the GP Party Bus. Just like last year in Peoria this tag match was fasted paced and hard hitting at one point it seemed like the champs were locked in to retain their belts but it was Andre Heart with a springboard senton that sealed the deal and made the GP Code HWA Tag Team champions once again.
When the dust had finally settled it was then time for the HWA Cruiserweight Champion Tim Donst to defend his championship against Peoria’s own Ryan Rich. Ryan Rich taking advantage of HWA’s Open Door Policy and almost made the perfect use of the opportunity but with a little help form the Hybrids Tim Donst slammed the open door in Ryan Rich’s face and kept his championship.
Brothers vs. Brothers, Speed vs. Speed, Phoenix Twins vs. Irish Airborne.
Tweek and Dash are arguably one of the best Tag teams in Illinois, and no tag team has reached the levels of The Irish Airborne in the HWA. Both teams were looking to prove why they are the best and what fans got to witness was tag team wrestling at it finest. In the end the Phoenix Twins met their match as the Irish Airborne’s experience and a top rope Double Stomp claimed the victory from HWA Heavyweight Champion Jake Crist and his brother Dave.
And In the main event ….WHAT DOES EVERYBODY WANT???? WHAT DOES EVERYBODY NEED?????
Well it wasn’t the Dick Rick Leykis Show but that didn’t stop The DR. As he made Doug DeVore reintroduce him properly handing him notes to assist in what The DR thought was How you appropriately introduce him. But before he could get to his opening monologue The Snowman himself Al Snow made his way to the ring. With the DR trying to prove that he is in fact tough enough to beat the Snowman the action spilled out on to the floor and once it came back in Al Snow took over …. Or so it seemed. Finally after two refs, each man hitting their big moves, and a couple close calls it was the Head shot behind the ref that put The DR away and the Snowman celebrated with the Large crowd to end the night.
The HWA would like to thank the fans for the huge turnout and the support. Thanks to you the HWA will return to the Expo Gardens on May 30th.
RCW Superstar, Tank Runyon, Retires

At the end of his match Saturday night against Dirk Extreme, it was announced that was indeed Tank Runyon’s last match. Tank is following doctor’s orders to leave the ring permanently due to severe neck problems stemming from years of wear and tear in the ring. Tank couldn’t leave though without giving the fans one last match.
Whether he was loved or hated, fans always took notice to Tank Runyon as he knows how to control the crowd like few others do. Tank has been involved in some of the most memorable feuds and matches in RCW history. His locker room leadership and professional morale has been unparalleled. Tank promises that he will stick around in some fashion because quite frankly it just wouldn’t be the same without him.
We hope to have video up of Tank’s speech from Otway later in the week. THANK YOU, TANK!
Editor’s Note: On a personal level, Saturday nights show was quite possibly one of the saddest moments in my career. Those of you that know me, know that Tank Runyon and I have been up and down the road together for almost 10 years, and you know that at no time in my career have I ever been better than the times when I managed Tank. He was the first guy that I managed that actually took me “on the road” with him, always made sure that I got some nice spots in his matches, and that I was taken care of. I can’t even begin to tell you how much that meant to me, or how much I learned about the business because of Tank.
Above all else though, Tank has always been there for me as a true friend, and for that I will repeat what everyone said Saturday night, and what they will continue to say for years to come…THANK YOU, TANK!

Revolutionary Championship Wrestling’s “New Blood” is now in the history books. A surprise retirement, new alliances, and some new faces were reasons to be in Otway last Saturday night. But just in case you weren’t there, here are the results from New Blood…
The night began with RCW Commissioner, The Mastermind explaining why he ditched The Gods in favor of the NEW RCW World Tagteam Champions, IOU. Mastermind said that he was beginning to see cracks in the armor of the Gods while Ace and Onyx are hungry and willing to listen to “The Manager of Champions”.
IOU (Ace Gigolo and “The Black Superman” Onyx) defeated the team of Nikki Tyler and Chad Cruise. Cruise and Tyler put up a great fight but the new champions showed surprisingly great teamwork not to mention a pair of brass knuckles slipped in by The Commissioner himself.
“Bad News” Keith Hamblin attacked Nikki Tyler after the match due to Tyler tricking him at Spring Awakening. Hamblin wanted to face Tyler but he got the returning El Nino instead. Hamblin made short work of the inhebriated El Nino but was caught off guard after the match by Tyler. Looks like these two still have some unfinished business.
JD Santos defeated Randy “The King” Allen via Countout after the King had enough and once again to the easy way out. The match was a great back and forth battle but once it got too hot in the kitchen….Allen retreated rather than accept the possibility of losing.
Tank Runyon and Exotic E interrupted Santos’s celebration and almost came to blows with the popular star. Santos was ordered to the back by the Mastermind. “American Idol” Dirk Extreme stormed to the ring and sung Radiohead’s “Creep” and directed it toward Runyon. Runyon and E cut the song off by putting the Leather Straps to Extreme who fought back and cleared the ring.
“Genuine” Jock Samson had an impressive debut against The Mystique Ninja. The Mystique Ninja was also making his debut but did not fair too well. Jock Samson came out on top and earned seemingly earns a spot on the RCW Roster.
Tyson Rogers returned to the ring and battled Flash Fury. Flash Fury took it to the big man and many think had him beat. Rogers on the other hand had a trick up his sleeve. Exotic E and Tank Runyon made their way to the ring and gave Rogers a roll of quarters which Tyson used to knock Flash into next week. Tyson Rogers picks up the win and appears to be with Exotic E & Co.
“American Idol” Dirk Extreme and Tank Runyon took it to one another in a Lumberjack Strap Match. Tank came to the ring dressed in many layers of clothing to absorb the straps. Eventually those layers were ripped from Runyon. Both men were ejected several times resulting in lashings from the belts. In the end, Rogers entered the ring to help Runyon but ended up costing him the bout as Extreme walked away with the victory.
After the Main Event Dirk Extreme announced that it was Tank’s last match. The two hugged and everyone wished Tank a teary farewell from in-ring competition as Tank gave a speech thanking everyone.
