WWC – Updates & Questions Answered – 2/11/09

Posted on February 11, 2009 by

We are gearing up for our big show this Saturday in Aberdeen, OH and thought we would take the time to address some questions we have received in the past couple of weeks.

Whats up with the website?

Well we are currently getting ready to relaunch the official World Wrestling Coalition website, www.wwcweb.com. When it is ready we’ll let you guys know.

When it does relaunch it will have a brand new design as well as new features including columns, updated roster page w/bios and pictures, full results section and other updates that will help you the fans learn more about the World Wrestling Coalition.

The goal of the new updated website is to provide our fans with somewhere they can get all the info on our product. Before we had problems keeping the site updated and interactive for you the fans, well now we are trying to make sure you have a place to get all your info.

WWC Title Name Change

The World Wrestling Coalition has officially changed the name of the North American Strong Style Championship to the North American Strong Hold Championship. This takes away the stigma that the title is strictly for strong style wrestling. We want to make it clear that the North American Championship is for any style found with in North America. From Lucha Libre of Mexico, the catch as catch can that is identified with the US and the technical style that comes from Canada.

As of right now we have no clear North American Strong Hold Champion, as Devlin Anderson and Dave Nevada pinned Matt Taylor to co-win the title. The WWC President is expected to make a decision on this this Saturday.

Who is the WWC President?

The question of the identity of the WWC President has been a mystery since Jeremiah L. Young stepped down back in October. We know there is a new Vice President of Affairs in the form of Miss McKenzie, who has been putting the new presidents policies in effect.

But the news is official. The World Wrestling Coalition president will be at the show Saturday and will be making his first official appearance to a live crowd. We know the new Administration has put faith in WWC wrestlers Cody Hawk and the Policy Enforcer Dean “The Dream” Jablonski. What does this mean for those men? And what does it mean for the two men who have felt the wrath of the Administration over the past few months, Matt Taylor and JT Stahr?

Update on the King of Extreme Show

The 6th Annual King of Extreme will take place on March 14, 2009 from the Municipal Building in Aberdeen, OH at 7pm. Anyone who has been to a KOE show before knows the WWC goes all out for this event and this year will be no exception.

This year the KOE match is back, with the winner getting the title of King of Extreme 2009 and a guaranteed Title Shot at any title in the next 12 months. The match itself is a 8 man elimination match. Here is the order of eliminations:

- First Elimination: Battle Royal Rules (1st man to be thown over top rope)

- Second Elimination: Pin Falls Anywhere, NO DQ

- Third Elimination: Submission Only Rules.

- Fourth Elimination: Tables Rules. (Opponent must go through a table.)

Final Four: Will compete in a ladder match for KOE title.

Former WWE/ECW star Al Snow was scheduled to appear but will not be able to due to a scheduling conflict. We want to thank Al Snow for his professionalism in helping us get this show together and we hope that he’ll be able to appear at future WWC dates.

But the WWC is gearing up and in the next few weeks we’ll be taking a look at the past KOE events and updating you on all the KOE information you need to know! Right here on www.myspace.com/worldwrestlingcoalition or at www.wwcweb.com when it relaunches.

Results – OCW in Coshocton, OH – 2/7/09

Posted on February 8, 2009 by

Ohio Championship Wrestling continued to roll into 2009 with another awesome event in Coshocton, Ohio. Nearly 250 fans piled into the Hopewell School to witness the red hot action!

The show began with J. Raymond Huntley announcing that he sent Vance Desmond to wrestle at another event, claiming that Vance had nothing to prove in OCW. This prompted OCW Board member, Big Tom Williams, to demand that Huntley take Desmonds place in the No DQ title match later on in the evening. Suddenly, Brian Beech appeared & attempted to attack Williams. This plan was foiled by Sherman Tank, who sent Huntley & Beech retreating to the locker room.

Jason Dragon defeated The Filthy Animal Mike Dodge.

Joe Joe Little beat Kaden Assad by DQ, when Assad purposely tried to blind Little with a foreign object.

Max Fahrenheit downed Joey Vengeance.

The Hi-Def Supernovas successfully defended their OCW Tag Team titles by beating the Nightmares.

During an interview with Ashley Lane, Sassy Steffy interrupted to demand a title shot for Lanes OCW Womens belt. OCW Board member, Big Tom Williams came out to state that the ladies bout would now be a 3-Way Dance involving Steffy, Lane & Sara Del Rey.

Big Guns Jeff Cannon wrestled Jeremy Madrox to a double countout, when The Filthy Animal Mike Dodge & Joey Vengeance created a distraction at ring side. In the impromptu (& short) match, Vengeance & Dodge downed Madrox & Cannon.

Sara Del Rey beat Ashley Lane & Sassy Steffy to become the new OCW Womens champion.

Sherman Tank defeated Brian Beech in a No DQ bout to retain the OCW Heavyweight title.

OCW returns to action on February 28 in Cambridge, Ohio with 2 big matches already signed:
- The Filthy Animal Mike Dodge & Joey Vengeance vs. Big Guns Jeff Cannon & Jeremy Madrox.
- Kaden Assad defends the OCW Ohio Heritage title against Joe Joe Little in a Blindfold Match!
