Absolute Intense Wrestling presented Extreme Is Still Dead on 1/22/2009 in Lakewood, Ohio at Put In Bay. If you missed the show, here’s what went down…
During the ring introductions, Matt Riot came out with Scami Carnyhan and demanded a shot in the 4th Annual Gauntlet For The Gold. Absolute Owner, Chandler Biggins came out and made the match.
Matt Riot beat Bryan Skyline to win a spot in the Gauntlet.
Dubleve beat Scami Carnyhan to win a spot in the Gauntlet.
Michael Cash came out to host “The Cash Bar” with guest Jack Verville. Jack wanted the segment to be “Jack Of Love 2″ and introduced his personal trainer, Chest Flexor. They even had a girl from the audience oil them down. This lead to Nick Belushi coming out and saying he has a woman for them and introduced Super Oprah to the crowd.
Alpha Beta Duke (Belushi/Oprah) beat Chest Flexor/Jack Verville by count out.
The Young Studs retained the AIW Tag Titles over Da Latin Crime Syndicate and The Homeless Handicap Connection when Eric Ryan pinned Luis Diamante.
Marion Fontaine beat Josh Prohibition.
Faith in Nothing beat Flip Kendrick and Louis Lyndon.
Jimmy Demarco beat Jason Gory after a cutter onto the bar to retain the Intense Title.

With WWE holding their Royal Rumble pay-per-view on Sunday, there will only be one house show this weekend. On Saturday night, all three WWE brands: Raw, SmackDown, and ECW will hold a Supershow at the Savage Arena in Toledo, Ohio. Bell time is set for 7:30 PM. and Triple H, John Cena, Randy Orton, Edge, Vladimir Kozlov, Matt Hardy, CM Punk, Cryme Tyme, The Miz, R-Truth, Jack Swagger, John Morrison, Beth Phoenix, Maria, and Maryse are all being advertised locally as appearing.

- Lars Rockne defeated Billy Taylor

In the pre-show match, The Hippies & Tiny Tim defeated Jac Attack’s Army and Tri-State Champion Austin Meddler.
Mikey Nicholls defeated Jeremy “I’m Your Hero” Hyde.
Muldoon and Samson wrestled to a Double Disqualification.
Jay Donaldson defeated The Genuine Superstar Anthony Bryant when he put the ankle brace on and superkicked Bryant with it.
Jac Attack and The Warlock came to the ring to talk about what they’ve done to Christopher Michael Lotus. Mr. Hayes interrupted and said he didn’t like their disrespect. He said that no matter what, the fans always know that when Mr. Hayes is here, they will be entertained, and he plans to entertain them next by beating the Warlock up on February 21st!
Stamp Lickage pinned Buffalo.
The Infection (Ice & Virus) defeated NWF Tag Team Champions The Thugs by disqualification when inGe interfered.
NWF Champion Ryan Stone narrowly defeated Stewie Backlund by rolling on top of him during a crossface chickenwing.
Wildcat Chris Harris defeated Roger Ruffen in the Hair vs. Hair match. After the match, Wildcat asked for Jesse Hyde to come to the ring to help him shave Ruffen bald.
Stewie Backlund won the Shimmers Rumble, last eliminating Ryan Stone. CEO Kirk Sheppard announced a rematch for February 21st between the two for the NWF title.
NWF Champion Ryan Stone & Jay Donaldson wrestled to a No Contest when Donaldson got in a fight with Anthony Bryant who tried to interfere and Stone attacked special guest referee Stewie Backlund. After the match, CEO Kirk Sheppard announced Backlund vs. Stone for the NWF Title at Shimmers next Saturday.
Muldoon won the Gauntlet Style Battle Royal, last eliminating Samson.

Old man winter may have gotten the upper hand on the HWA temporarily but the HWA will be back at The Sorg Opera House (65 S. Main Street – Middletown, OH) next Wednesday Night January 21st for another action packed edition of HWA’s A Fight at the Opera!
The action starts at 7:30 PM and all tickets are only $5.00!
THE FIRST ROUND OF THE #1 CONTENDERS TOURNAMENT
The first round of the #1 Contenders Tournament for the HWA Heavyweight Title will get underway with four big matches!
Winners of all first round matches will advance to compete in the semi-finals on Wednesday January 28th.

Aaron Williams has found himself in the middle of things between Dave Crist and Dustin Rayz most recently.
Next week Dave Crist will be seeking revenge on the man he believes assaulted him the day of his scheduled title match with Aaron Williams, Dustin Rayz.
And in this match Aaron Williams will once again be in the middle of it all as he will serve as the special guest referee.

HWA HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION JAKE CRIST vs. KADEN ASSAD – NON TITLE MATCH!
HWA Heavyweight Champion Jake Crist will step into the ring with Kaden Assad in a non-title match this Wednesday!
Fans who were at HWA World War III last month, saw Assad make his first appearance in the HWA as part of the Cruiserweight Gauntlet match. In that match he was eliminated by Jake’s older brother Dave Crist. So on top of wanting to earn a full time spot on the HWA roster, Assad may also be looking to give the Crist Family some payback. Certainly great motivators but will they be enough to pull off the upset victory over the top dog in the HWA?
