The show opened up with MC Pauli and was soon after interrupted by Double P and The Empire who proceeded to antagonize the fans throwing insults verbally assaulting everyone in the building as part of an inaugural celebration after Double P was able to screw Pauli out of his Commissioner spot.
Then in the first match the lovely Mary Elizabeth gets the victory over the returning Mistress Bianca Sanchez.
Then it was 3 way madness for a chance to be in the Empire, with newcomer Freakshow vs PS3 vs Sgt. J-Rock. As soon as PS3 got the pin on J-Rock, The Empire came out and gave Pauli’s son PS3, an Empire style beat down with the help of the hardcore soldiers managed by Duane Dickson Gladwell, formerly known as Corpral Page.
C-Jack Jr. also gets the victory over Ryan Wild in a match that rocked the house. Yet another victory for The Empire.
Dez Coltriane defeats Ben Kimera by DQ when HBO slid in the knucks.
Then the match that stole the show…Double P vs Lil Naughty for the spot as leader of The Empire which started out as an argument then turned street fight with weapons galore to include the prosthetic leg of the late Devin Dark, the crowd went nuts as Lil Naughty dove off the 20 ft balcony of The Sorg taking down Double P and half a dozen others like bowling pins and gained the respect of Double P, who afterward bowed to Lil Naughty in sincere respect.
In a battle of the giants Bigga Black and Mountain Killer went head to head for the Empire Title, which Mountain Killer beat, and almost killed, Ricochet for recently. Mountain Killer got the victory and to everyone’s surprise, Double P, disgraced by the failure of his son Bigga, cast him out of The Empire along with his hoes, Cookies and Daisy, then made Mountain Killer the newest member of The Empire!
The Highspot Kings, Aaron Xtreme and Doug Charlz defeated Mike Brody and Psycho, who was standing in for Lee Roberts, then right at the last moment Psycho pulls out the Psych Device on Brody. costing him the match and also becomes the newest member of The Empire.
Tommy “T-Dogg” Forman defeated the XVW franchise Ricochet for the North American Title in a match that was no doubt billed as the double main event.
Then a distraught Jerry “Loco” Andrews retains his XVW Heavyweight Championshio in a brutal match that went all over the arena against former champ Jason Kimera.
With all that being said, ladies and gentlemen make sure to be at the XVW 1 year Anniversary show as former ECW superstar, now Empire member, Elijah Burke makes his way to Xtreme Valley! Until then…thanks for supporting XVW!

So, How’s the Weather Where You’re At?

Hey fans, just letting everyone know that we haven’t abandoned Wrestle Ohio, and that we will be getting all the updates from the past few days posted here for you shortly.
As most (all?) of you know, Ohio just got hit with some nasty Winter weather, and unfortunately, the Wrestle Ohio office is right in one of the hardest hit areas. Which means, first we lost our internet connection on Tuesday night, which finally came back on Wednesday afternoon…roughly a half hour before we lost our electric!
And in addition to all of that, I nailed a deer Monday night on the way home and did some slight (at least I hope only slight) damage to my car…which is now running like a piece of crap! Fun times!!
Anyway, the past 72 hours have been hell for all of us, and I’d like to remind each and every one of you to keep whats really important in mind during this dangerous time. There are still people out there that haven’t had their electric restored yet, and there are still people out there that are cold and hungry, especially the elderly amongst us. So, if you’re one of the more fortunate ones…help out your friends, help out your neighbors, or help out a total stranger…you’ll be glad that you did!

***UNDISPUTED FIRESTORM PRO HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP***
“Big League” JOHN McCHESNEY(c) vs. RAYMOND ROWE
“DestroyErase Improve 2008″ was supposed to be a heartfelt send off for “TheDeviant” MICHAEL HUTTER as he left to ply his trade for the WWE. Theshow was affectionately being referred to as “One Sweet Farewell.” Allwas going to plan until one man ruined everything. JOHN McCHESNEY. Hemade his presence felt early in the night by pulverizing a fake”Deviant” with the help of SHANE TAYLOR. He then left in the ring in ahuff and the fans believed that they had seen the last of him for thenight. Were they ever wrong. McCHESNEY re-appeared right after thebell sounded for the main event match which was a Three Way Dancefeaturing TNA’s SAMOA JOE, STARLESS and RAYMOND ROWE being held todetermine the new UNDISPUTED FIRESTORM PRO HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION. Hedemanded inclusion in the match and Firestorm Owner JC reluctantlyallowed him into the match fully trusting the three competitors in thering would take their frustrations out on the irritating McCHESNEY. That pleasant outcore was not to be. After SAMOA JOE had taken outSHANE TAYLOR’s following his interference and SAMANTHA ANNE had leveledSTEPHANIE following her attempt at interference, and STARLESS on theoutside with a knee injury RAYMOND ROWE and JOHN McCHESNEY were FINALLYall alone in the middle of the ring. ROWE wasted no time in locking ona full nelson and as he lifted McCHESNEY to deliver his signature”Death Rowe” knee strike and seal his victory COLIN TA THIS disparatelygrabbed his leg and stopped the knockout blow from landing. While hewas freeing his leg, McCHESNEY delivered a knockout kick squarely tothe unproteced jaw of ROWE and accomplished the unthinkable. JOHNMcCHESNEY had won the championship! That “Big Leauge” snake had beencrownd the UNDISPUTED FIRESTORM PRO HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION. Followingtwo successive losses at the hands of McCHESNEY due to the outsideinterference of TEAM BIG LEAGUE, RAYMOND ROWE has become a man obsessedwith revenge. He wants McCHESNEY one one one for another chance atjustice. He wants to punish his opponent. He will not be denied. Hehas vowed to become the champion at “DEAD MAN WALKING” or die trying. But at every turn McCHESNEY has done his level best to injure, insult, and infuriate everyone that stands in his way to the championshipgold.
Now that it finally is in his grasp, to what depths will he sinkto keep it firmly in his possession?
DOINK THE CLOWN
He has been everywhere in wrestling. From the big top to the big time he has seen and done it all. Everyone recognizes the music. Everyone recognizes the face paint. Everyone knows to expect the unexpected whenever DOINK is going to be in the house. However will anyone be prepared for what DOINK has up his sleeve when he makes his debut on January 31st? Who will he face? What impact will he make? Only DOINK knows.
***Number One Contender’s Match***
STARLESS vs. PATRICK HAYES
HAYES has made a reputation for himself throughout the wrestling community for being a party animal. He is always looking for a good time and never really left his frat boy days behind him. Many consider it a distraction and a possible black mark on what could be a very bright future in our sport. He has come on strong as of late in FIRESTORM PRO he has made back to back successful showings over top competition first over the mountainous KENNY HENDRIX and most recently over the international star M-DOGG 20. Is this party boy finally getting serious about the task at hand? On January 31st PATRICK HAYES has the opportunity to cash in on a great opportunity to challenge for the UNDISPUTED FIRESTORM PRO HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP with a win over STARLESS. That is going to be a tall order, even for the man who regularly knocks back tall boys. During the Round Robin Tournament STARLESS turned in one breathtaking performance after another. He proved his doubters wrong. Time and time again. From snatching victory from the jaws of defeat and upsetting ROWE to leaping out of the balcony onto all the Tournament competitors he never failed to defy the odds, and gravity on his way to the Undisputed Title Match.
However, after two consecutive unsuccessful attempts and a possible knee injury after the most recent shortcoming one has to ask that if he loses on January 31st, how many more attempts will STARLESS receive?
THE AFTERMATH vs. SHIIMA XION
Even though he was victorious at “DEI 2008″ THE AFTERMATH has not shaken J-ROCC quite so easily. “The Big Daddy of Destruction” has hand selected THE AFTERMATH’s next opponent and personally came up with the money to tempt internationally known SHIIMA XION into making his FIRESTORM PRO return. The “Big Daddy” has been bragging to anyone who will listen that he gave XION a “little something extra” to ensure that XION would bring the pain to THE AFTERMATH on January 31st.
ANGELDUST vs. “Big League” STEPHANIE
These girls could not be cut from more different cloth. STEPHANIE,while at first apparently intimidated by them, has eagerly thrown herself wholeheartedly into TEAM BIG LEAGUE. She was quick to change her colors, throw her morals out the window and embrace the new lifestyle allowed her by TEAM BIG LEAGUE. She seems to be walking with a new swagger and the affect on her treatment has increasingly worsened with her association with the disrespectful McCHESNEY and company. This change in her former friend has not gone unnoticed and could be one reason for this bout being signed. Standing across from STEPHANIE on January 31st will be ANGELDUST. She is a scrappy overachiever. She has faced adversity at every turn trying to eke out respect and recognition with her determination and willpower. She won’t be told she’s too small. She refuses to back down from any opponent, male or female. She put her money where her mouth was last show and challenged SHAWN BLAZE to a one on one contest and was on her way to making an improbable comeback victory when BLAZE’s good friend MARION FONTAINE emerged from the crowd to lay the beat down on ANGELDUST and save BLAZE from losing to a girl. ANGELDUST had better not let her desire for revenge against them cloud her judgment or STEPHANIE will give her a rude and sassy awakening on January 31st.
THE CUT THROAT CREW in ACTION!!!!
Following their triumphant return these pirates are looking to continue on their winning ways. They have vowed to take on any and all comers at “DEADMAN WALKING.” A bold proclamation like that is always answered enthusiastically here in FIRESTORM PRO with so many young competitors trying to make a name for themselves.
Rest assured whoever comes to the ring to cross swords with THE CUT THROAT CREW will be sure to bring the fight to them and the pirates will be willing and able to return fire!!!
AlsoAppearing: J-ROCC w/VICKI, SHANE TAYLOR, COLIN TA THIS, SAMANTHA ANNE, RYAN BURKE, SHAWN BLAZE, MARION FONTAINE, DA MUNCHIES, JT LIGHTNING,KENNY HENDRIX and more!!!!

Results – WWE: Supershow in Toledo, OH – 1/24/09

Last night, WWE held a house show at Savage Arena in Toledo Ohio, and Wrestle Ohio’s good friend, Mitchell Peebles, was there to report back on all of the action. Here are the results that he sent in…
The opening match saw John Morrison and the Miz enter the ring with big heat, and get the crowd angry, going so far as to say there are two type of people in life, Winners, and Toledoans. Cryme Tyme came out to a decent pop. Match was good, kept the interest of the fans the entire match, Shad ended up pinning Morrison for the win. 3 out of 5 stars.
Winner: Cryme Tyme via pinfall
The second match was a divas tag team match with Candice and Eve facing Beth Phoenix and Natalya. I personally was disappointed Maria didnt wrestle, but the match was pretty good overall, the crowd was into it for the most part 3 out of 5 stars.
Winner: Eve and Candice via pinfall
The next match was Vladimir Kozlov against Jimmy Wang Yang. The fact that Jimmy Wang was there upset some people, and some were saying “Get this match over we want to see real superstars!” So the crowd was pretty dead, but not too bad. Kozlov and Wang botched a move or two, that slowed the match down a lot. Kozlov won easily, 2 out of 5 stars.
Winner: Kozlov via pinfall
The fourth match of the night pitted CM Punk against William Regal for the Intercontinental Championship. Regal got lots of heat, and Punk got a huge pop. Very technical match, but very good. Probably one of the most realistic championship matches I’ve seen at a house show. Punk pretended to have a hurt knee that Regal worked on the entire match, but at one point, Punk switched knees, so that made it less believable. Of course, Punk retains. 4 out of 5 stars.
Winner: Punk via pinfall
INTERMISSION
After intermission, it was R-truth vs. Shelton Benjamin. R-truth came down the stairs and right by my row when doing his entrance, so that was cool, but……VERY BORING MATCH, crowd was dead silent thought most of the match, it almost seemed like an extension to the intermission. 1.5 stars out of 5.
Winner: Shelton retains via pinfall
Next came Swagger vs. Matt Hardy. Okay match, seemed pretty long.
Winner: Swagger retains via pinfall 2.5 out of 5.
Then came the main event. HHH and Cena vs. Edge and Orton. Big heat for Edge, mixed reaction for Orton. Cena got mostly pop, with just a touch of heat. HHH was one of the loudest pops ive heard at a house show. Great match. Edge and Orton made a realistic job to the two faces. 4 out of 5 stars.
Winners: HHH and Cena via. pinfall
Biggest Heat of the Night
3. Vladimir Kozlov
2. Miz and Morrison
1. Edge
Biggest Pop of the Night
3. Matt Hardy.
2. Cena
1. HHH

Championship Wrestling Experience returns to The Wedge in Austintown, Ohio live Friday, February 20th, 2009 as it presents its second event of the year, Battle Lines. Tickets are $10 in advance from Havana House in Niles or The Wedge box office, and doors open at 6:30 pm with the wrestling action starting at 7:30 pm. Fans in attendance will see the fall out from CWEs last event, Two Years Later, which saw Shiima Xion retain the CWE Undisputed Title, as well as end the two year undefeated streak of Patrick Hayes. Now, onto the matches!
SHIIMA XION DEFENDS THE UNDISPUTED TITLE AGAINST ASHTON AMHERST
Shiima Xion accomplished on January 16th what no one else including Jake The Snake Roberts, Johnny Gargano and Eddie Kingston could do : pin Patrick Hayes. En route to the pin, Shiima had to overcome the interference of Hayes associates Krystal Frost and Shiima Xion. He did those things with the help of former foe Johnny Gargano. Amherst, on the other hand but in the same capacity, did what few others in the country have done, and pinned Raymond Rowe. He needed the assistance of Big Dom and Chris LeRusso to do so, but nonetheless, he did it. CWE officials had to jump on the opportunity to make this match happen. Will Shiima again make another first by being the first man to pin Ashton Amhersts shoulders to the mat, or will Ashton prove to not only Shiima, but everyone else, that he really is that good? In addition, where will Patrick Hayes and Johnny Gargano fall into the equation? We saw at the end of the last event, that whatever problems existed between Shiima and Gargano are now water under the bridge, and they seem to be united against a common foe. One can only imagine the mental capacity Hayes is in after not only losing his undefeated streak, but also not capturing the title. Time will tell how all of this will play out.
STRAIGHT JACKET MAFIA DEFEND THE TAG TEAM TITLES AGAINST BOUNCER AND TUFF TINA
Benjamin C Steele went to CWE management and whined, cried, and begged to get his team, Straight Jacket Mafia, into the Tag Team Title match at Two Years Later. His pleas were successful, and the team made the best of the opportunity by pinning Matthew Justice to become the brand new CWE Tag Team Champions. Earlier in the night, they cost the LA Gunz the victory in the ten man tag, and in the Tag Team Title match itself, Benjamin C Steele proved himself to be a huge distraction, causing the Franchise Players to chase him around the venue while his team took advantage of Justice for the pin and victory. The Straight Jacket Mafia are making no friends in the tag ranks, and not only does that include LA Gunz and Franchise Players, but it also now extends to The Bouncer and Tuff Tina. Dahmer needed to use a spike to disorient The Bouncer in the ten man tag to eliminate him. This ultimately did not sit well with The Bouncer, who demanded, and was granted, a CWE Tag Team Title shot. Bouncer has had his fair share of partners in the CWE, forming teams with Kurt Fury, Bill Hyatt, and The Creep. This time he called upon the other member of Klub Xtreme, Tuff Tina, to be his partner. Tina is undoubtedly one of the toughest women in the game, and proved that by exchanged blows with Dahmer in January. Will this match be more of BC Steeles interference, or will The Bouncer and Tina walk away with the titles around their waist?
RAYMOND ROWE SQUARES OFF WITH KEVIN BRADWAY
Raymond Rowe was robbed in January in his match with Ashton Amherst. He did regain some sort of revenge. Chris LeRusso interjected himself in the match, and ultimately led to Ashton rolling Rowe up and getting the three count. After the match had ended, as Dom, Ashton, and LeRusso were celebrating, Rowe got off the ground. Upon seeing the monster awoke, Dom and Ashton left the ring, leaving LeRusso alone with Rowe. While LeRusso tried his best to get away, Rowe was able to hit him with Death Rowe, twice, and leave him unconscious in the ring. Kevin Bradway has been running around the locker room and telling anyone within an earshot about how he is the toughest guy in the CWE. Bradway is fresh off of a victory, being the sole survivor in the ten man tag at Two Years Later. Bradway left an open challenge backstage at Two Years Later to anyone who wanted to challenge him for the Toughest Man in CWE title. This challenge was quickly accepted by Rowe, angry off of his earlier loss. This could indeed be a very scary match for Bradway. Theres a few things you dont want to do in life. You dont spit in the wind, you dont tug on Supermans cape, and you dont step into the ring with an angry Raymond Rowe who wants revenge on whomever he can get his hands on.
FACADE ENTERS LAST, BUT ALSO MUST FACE RYAN MITCHELL
Facade earned the spot that everyone within the CWE wanted, and that is the last spot in the now annual February Battle Royal. He earned this right by defeating Chris LeRusso, Marion Fontaine, and Ryan Burke. However, before he can enjoy the luxury that number carriers, Facade must step into the ring against Ryan Mitchell. Mitchell is a relative newcomer to CWE, with his only appearance being his victory against Logan Shulo in January. His credentials speak for themselves, being trained by Dory Funk and Rocky Johnson, and being under WWE Development contract. We know the crowd is solidly behind Facade, but the crowd just didn’t seem to give too much to Mitchell in his first appearance. This match will either be another step in Facade’s road to the title, or this can be how Ryan Mitchell firmly establishes himself with the fans of the CWE.
LA GUNZ TAKE ON BAD TO THE BONE
The LA Gunz quite possibly could have and should have been the guys walking away from the ten man tag with their hands raised. Due to the interference of Straight Jacket Mafia, this was not the case. There is a lot of bad blood between the two teams, stemming back to Lethal Dose last June. Now that Straight Jacket Mafia are the tag team champs, there could be more at stake for the Gunz. While they did want to challenge for the gold at Battle Lines, the team determined that they would profit more from finding others to beat up before going after the Straight Jacket Mafia. Bad to the Bone has not been seen in quite some time in CWE as a team. Moondog Scrap lost at Two Years Later to Hobo Joe after Joe tricked him into thinking he threw his bone into the audience. Scott Prodigy, Scraps partner, has made claims that the LA Gunz will not have similar luck with this thought process, and that he will be there to make sure Scrap does not get distracted.
LOGAN SHULO RETURNS TO BATTLE MARION FONTAINE
The Megastar Marion Fontaine is back in the CWE, and has set his sights on going all the way to the top. Fontaine came close several times to winning the last seed in the battle royal, but came up just short in the end to Facade. Logan Shulo made his debut in the CWE at Two Years Later, in an impressive outing against Ryan Mitchell. While Mitchell was victorious in the contest, Logan impressed CWE officials to the point where they signed him to a contract immediately. CWE officials seem to be very high on Shulo, and have taken a step outward in giving him this huge opportunity. Will the Megastar prove why he is the Megastar, or will Logan pick up his first victory in a CWE ring?
BATTLE ROYAL: FUTURE TITLE SHOT AT STAKE
CWE fans know that At A Year Later, a battle royal was created, with the winner becoming the new CWE Undisputed Champion. Johnny Gargano fought long and hard that night, and last eliminated Patrick Hayes to win the gold. Happy with the response of the first battle royal, CWE management determined they would make this a yearly institution, and decided it would be held every February. While the amount of competitors has yet to be determined, the field thus far includes 20 competitors. They are [in no particular order]:
1. Patrick Hayes
2. Marion Fontaine
3. Ashton Amherst
4. Facade
5. Flea
6. Axel
7. Sean Dahmer
8. Apollyon
9. Logan Shulo
10. Ryan Mitchell
11. Scott Prodigy
12. Moondog Scrap
13. The Bouncer
14. Tuff Tina
15. Hobo Joe
16. JC Slick
17. Raymond Rowe
18. Kevin Bradway
19. Ryan Burke
20. Gregory Iron
More may be added in the future, but even looking at that list of competition makes one wonder what direction the match will go in. Will Hayes use his undoubted anger to propel himself to victory? Will Fontaine be able to go all the way? Can Ashton prove that he is that good? Can the LA Gunz, Straight Jacket Mafia or Bad to the Bone put aside partnerships to be the last man left standing? Will Logan make his second appearance a dramatic one? Can Ryan Mitchell use all his credentials to win? Can The Bouncer use his experience to guide him? Will Tina prove that she is better than all the men? Can Hobo Joe live a real life rags to riches story? Can JC Slick overcome his underdog stature? Can Raymond Rowe suplex his way to the top? Will Kevin Bradway prove he is the toughest man in the CWE? Can Ryan Burke prove that heart can lead you to victory? Will Gregory Iron prevail in face of adversity?
See this and much more Friday, February 20th, 2009 at The Wedge in Austintown, Ohio as Championship Wrestling Experience presents Battle Lines! Remember, tickets are $10 in advance at Havana House in Niles or at The Wedge Box Office. The doors open at 6:30, with the show beginning at 7:30.
