The End of an Era

The following is a repost from the management of New Era Wrestling. Barring some major change, this will be the last update to our NEW section. Best of luck to the crew and workers of NEW.

The End of an Era

Fans, Wrestlers, and Friends,

With very mixed emotions, I would like to announce that effective immediately New Era Wrestling will be shutting down. There will be no show (as had been previously announced) this Saturday at Sports of All Sorts, nor will we be running shows there in the future.
NEW will, however, be honoring a commitment that we have made to the New Richmond Youth Football League. We will be having a benefit show (which now turns out to be the LAST NEW Show) on Saturday, October 11th. The show will be at 8 pm (doors open at 7:30 pm) at the Boys & Girls Club in New Richmond, OH and will feature many of your favorite NEW stars (past & present). More information as it becomes available…
Thanks to all, fans & wrestlers, who have contributed to 3 awesome years of fun & excitement at New Era Wrestling. It’s been a pleasure to work with each and everyone of you, and I wish you the best of luck as you continue on. As I look back over the 3 years, it truly is the end of an era. All the hours, all the work, and all of the effort was worth it.
Special thanks go out to Artie Kidwell (who co-founded the promotion with me), to Nate Pelley (who’s commitment, creativity, and integrity exceeeds anyone I’ve met in this business), to my wife Amy, Lee McKinney & Ronnie Longworth (early years) who have been instrumental behind the scenes doing anything, and everything, imaginable.
Finally, thank you to the the wrestlers who I have had the privilege to work with over these last few years. The list is long, and attempting to name names would be a disservice to many. Each of you have contributed in a significant way to the promotion. There are some, and you know who you are, who have been deeply committed to the mission of what we tried to accomplish. I am especially grateful to each of you.
Thanks for the support over the years. Good luck to you all. Stay safe. And I’m sure I’ll see many of you at events in the future.
