HWA Uprising coming to the East Peoria Event Center Apr 26!!
The Heartland Wrestling Association is pleased to announce that HWA Uprising, the HWA’s debut event in Central Illinois, will feature a double main event with Nigel McGuinness battling Chris Hero and BJ Whitmer squaring off with one half of The Irish Airborne, Jake Crist!
The big question is, which of the two main event matches at HWA Uprising will have the HWA Heavyweight Title at stake?
BJ Whitmer is set to defend the HWA Heavyweight Title the night before HWA Uprising at HWA CyberClash 3.0 in Cincinnati against Nigel McGuinness.
If Whitmer retains his title at CyberClash, then Jake Crist will find himself in one of the biggest solo matches of his career, challenging Whitmer for the richest prize in all of the HWA.
On the flip side, if the reigning ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness were to add the HWA Heavyweight Title to his trophy case at HWA CyberClash 3.0, then Chris Hero would have a shot at becoming HWA Heavyweight Champion at HWA Uprising.
Also at HWA Uprising…
Billy Roc will take on Jon Moxley in a battle of the weight classes.
Can the cruiserweight Billy Roc overcome the former two time HWA Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley?
The GP Code (Andre Heart & Deja Vu) will take on The Hybrids (Jason Lyte & Donovan Cain) in a tag team grudge match! If The GP Code successfully defend their tag team titles the night before HWA Uprising, this match will be an HWA Tag Team Title Match!
A Hardcore Match between “The Mauler From Motown” Kimera and representing The Naptown Dragons, “Die Hard” Dustin Lee.
You will also see a Six Man Scramble featuring “Astonishing” Aaron Williams, Vin Gerard, Scotty Vortex, “New Horror” Sami Callihan and Drake Younger!
Plus… The Osirian Portal (Amasis & Ophedian) will square off against The Phoenix Twins (Tweek & Dash) in tag team action!
HWA Uprising takes place on Saturday Night April 26th at the East Peoria Event Center (4200 East Washington – East Peoria, IL 61611). The action starts at 8 PM.

Wrestling fans in Central Illinois will get an HWA sneak preview the afternoon of HWA Uprising when My 59 (WAOE) airs a two hour HWA special from 3 PM – 5 PM on April 26th showcasing the stars and the action fans in Central Illinois can come to expect from the Heartland Wrestling Association.
