HWA Uprising coming to the East Peoria Event Center Apr 26!!
The Heartland Wrestling Association is pleased to announce that HWA Uprising, the HWA’s debut event in Central Illinois, will feature a double main event with Nigel McGuinness battling Chris Hero and BJ Whitmer squaring off with one half of The Irish Airborne, Jake Crist!
The big question is, which of the two main event matches at HWA Uprising will have the HWA Heavyweight Title at stake?
BJ Whitmer is set to defend the HWA Heavyweight Title the night before HWA Uprising at HWA CyberClash 3.0 in Cincinnati against Nigel McGuinness.
If Whitmer retains his title at CyberClash, then Jake Crist will find himself in one of the biggest solo matches of his career, challenging Whitmer for the richest prize in all of the HWA.
On the flip side, if the reigning ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness were to add the HWA Heavyweight Title to his trophy case at HWA CyberClash 3.0, then Chris Hero would have a shot at becoming HWA Heavyweight Champion at HWA Uprising.
Also at HWA Uprising…
Billy Roc will take on Jon Moxley in a battle of the weight classes.
Can the cruiserweight Billy Roc overcome the former two time HWA Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley?
The GP Code (Andre Heart & Deja Vu) will take on The Hybrids (Jason Lyte & Donovan Cain) in a tag team grudge match! If The GP Code successfully defend their tag team titles the night before HWA Uprising, this match will be an HWA Tag Team Title Match!
A Hardcore Match between “The Mauler From Motown” Kimera and representing The Naptown Dragons, “Die Hard” Dustin Lee.
You will also see a Six Man Scramble featuring “Astonishing” Aaron Williams, Vin Gerard, Scotty Vortex, “New Horror” Sami Callihan and Drake Younger!
Plus… The Osirian Portal (Amasis & Ophedian) will square off against The Phoenix Twins (Tweek & Dash) in tag team action!
HWA Uprising takes place on Saturday Night April 26th at the East Peoria Event Center (4200 East Washington – East Peoria, IL 61611). The action starts at 8 PM.
Presale tickets are available at HWAOnline. com
$15 for Front Row seats and a special presale price of $10 on General Admission seats.
(GA tickets will be $12 at the door the night of the event)
Wrestling fans in Central Illinois will get an HWA sneak preview the afternoon of HWA Uprising when My 59 (WAOE) airs a two hour HWA special from 3 PM – 5 PM on April 26th showcasing the stars and the action fans in Central Illinois can come to expect from the Heartland Wrestling Association.

“RAMPAGE IN OTWAY” RESULTS
Posted: April 10, 2008
Last Saturday RCW fans witnessed one of the most exciting events of the year. “Rampage in Otway” had the rowdy “Otwegians” on their feet in a frenzy as RCW delivered once again.
“RAMPAGE IN OTWAY” RESULTS:
The night opened with a video recap of All Shook Up
The first match turned out to be a blockbuster of a bout. The flamboyant Corey Mason took on Matt Taylor who was accompanied by Miss MacKenzie. The crowd really got behind Taylor who had a hard time putting Mason away but eventually got the job done. After the bout Mason wanted a rematch at Road To Injection. The Loony Commissioner came out to ask Matt Taylor and Taylor accepted the rematch.
JD Santos and Vance Desmond would finally meet for the Lethal Lottery Ticket that Santos won back in January. If you remember Santos picked a match with Ace Gigolo. So in essence the match for the TV Title was up for grabs. Great high flying skills presented by both individuals. John Ruben got knocked down. Referee Steve Hephenstein came down after Santos knocked out Desmond and collapsed on him with his shoulders also on the mat. Ruben came to and both referees counted different shoulders and awarded the match to different winners. Commissioner Horton made a decision that both men would hold the lottery ticket and face Ace Gigolo for the RCW TV TITLE at Injection 6.
Ace Gigolo protested the 3-way match but proclaimed that after the Hardcore Fatal 4-way tonight that he would be RCW’s first Triple Champion in the companies history. “The American Idol” Dirk Extreme then came out followed by Tyson Rogers and then Tank Runyon who all had words for each other and plans for the Fatal 4-way. Things got heated and the 4 went after each other. The Commissioner had to pull the roster from the locker room to get the 4 separated.
Ricochet was originally suppose to face Wes Cannon. Cannon was not cleared to wrestle and a substitution in Cole Cash was made at the last minute.Ricochet defeated the debut of Cole Cash. Cash looked impressive in his debut but was caught by Ricochet’s superkick.
Also mysterious in his absence was Nikki Tyler. Tyler left Flash Fury hanging in a tagteam match but lucky for Flash The B.O.D. seen fit to give Flash a single’s bout against another RCW debut…..Bryan Cross. Cross exhibited tremendous skills but could not overcome the energy and athleticism of Flash Fury.
Chuck Chronic thanked the fans of Otway for their support
Hollie Wood was brought out as the new manager of Randy Allen & Chris Smith while The Mastermind was in the corner of The Gods. The Gods (Judas Thorn & The Juggulator) retained the RCW Tagteam Titles via countout when Randy Allen through Judas Thorn into the ropes and knocked Chris Smith to the outside causing the countout. Allen and Smith had a heated argument after the match. The Mastermind walked out still the Manager of Champions.
A video played showing the progress of Trik Nasty
Tank Runyon won the Hardcore Fatal Four-Way Fall Count Anywhere Match and retained the RCW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE. The first elimination happened nearly 35 minutes into the match and it would be two eliminations at once as Ace Gigolo and Tyson Rogers were pinned after a double elbow from the top from Tank & Extreme. It should be noted that Exotic E, Wes Cannon, & Ranger Bob stuck their noses into the match every chance they got. Dirk and Tank would then face off in a match that had the crowd divided. Tank’s knee was injured early on and Extreme tried to submit the champion but could not. Earlier the two had decided to abide by the fans wishes and wrestle instead of using hardcore objects. Extreme grabbed a chair to use on Runyon’s leg. It looked as if Extreme was rethinking the decision when Ace Gigolo jumped on the apron distracting Extreme. Meanwhile Rogers snuck back into the ring with the RCW Title. Tank took the belt from Rogers and went to nail him with it but Rogers ducked and Runyon hit Dirk instead. Tank went ahead and pinned Extreme to win the bout. Both men got an ovation after the bout.

Heading into Last Laugh 08, the WWC is still reeling from KOE 08! At the Rambler Center we saw a night of classic matches and emotional moments. From the Big Kahuna finally winning the big prize from Cody Hawk in a classic match, to Scary Gary’s farewell speech. Here is some of the fallout from KOE and what it means heading into Last Laugh 08 and the upcoming Grand Slam 08!
~Kimera Ruins Byrne’s Comeback moment~
Ric Byrne a two time former WWC Heavyweight Champion won the KOE after years of coming up short this year but his celebration was cut short when the vicious Benjamin Kimera still bleeding from the barbwire Byrne used on him earlier in the match attacked the recently repaired ankle of Byrne. Byrne has a guarenteed title shot at any WWC Championship due to the win but he seems more eager to make Kimera pay for ruining his moment.
~Big Kahuna Kenny Lucas’ Title Reign Has Begun but For How Long?~
Long time fan favorite Big Kahuna Kenny Lucas finally won the WWC Championship in a MOTY candidate against Cody Hawk at KOE but the challengers are already lining up. Benjamin Kimera, Ric Byrne, JT Stahr, Astonishing Aaron Williams, Ganger and The Chosen have all filed for title shots. Kahuna has stated he’ll except all challengers, and will not back down from anyone. The target is planted firmly on the back of Kahuna!
~Dustin Rayz/Aaron Williams war continues:~
After a fantastic match at Fallout the two locked up at KOE in a match that went to a draw. Quentin Lee who has prevented Aaron Williams from getting a rematch for the Title seems to have taken a liking to Dustin Rayz. He has awarded Rayz with a shot at Matt Taylor’s newly won North American Strong Style Championship. Aaron William however has still not received a Title Shot at the Heavyweight Title. Will that change?
~Onyx stripped and suspended…Matt Taylor wins title, then looses it?~
Onyx the recent North American Strong Style Champion was stripped of the title and suspended for no showing WWC events. The title was put on the line in a match between Matt Taylor & Ganger. The two men had a exciting match with Matt Taylor coming out on top and becoming champion. He was attacked by Violent Bob (Onyx’s manager) and Jimmy Malloy soon after, who stole the NASS belt. Matt Taylor is set to defend the title against Dustin Rayz this coming Saturday but the belt is still in Violent Bob’s possession.
~The Chosen nearly ruin KOE!~
Adding a new member to their ranks in the form of Jake Omen, the Chosen will be in full force when Judas Thorn, Jake Omen, Juggulator and Mastermind at Laugh 08. At KOE 08, they won their tag match against the new team of Scotty Young & Jake Ashworth. Nearly attacked Scary Gary during his retirement speech. They tried to spread their chaos all over the show, but Quentin Lee brought in Ric Byrne to combat them in KOE and now they have their eyes set to continue their war with WWC this coming Saturday.
~ROH STAR set to make WWC DEBUT~
Jake Crist, 1/2 of the Irish Airborne, will be in action this coming Saturday against the debut of The Madness. To see him live be at Last Laugh 08!
~Tri-State Rumble DVDs~
The first DVD from WWC Home Video will be out this coming weekend, for sell first to you fans at Last Laugh 08!

~King of Extreme 2008 Quick Results~
*Big Kahuna Kenny Lucas hit the ring to dedicate the night to his grandfather Woody Kenneth Adams, who passed away last week. A ten bell salute was heard to remember this long time wrestling fan.
*Commissioner Quentin Lee hit the ring with some warning, mainly the Chosen to keep in line, or be put back in line. The Chosen have been threatening to tear the KOE apart and Quentin would not let that happen. He then called out North American Strong Style Champion Onyx. Violent Bob entered the ring, with the belt over his shoulder. Quentin Lee then told the fans Onyx wasn’t here and refused to wrestle in a match against Matt Taylor. So because Onyx refused to show up for the fans in Russellville and defend the title he was stripped of it. The North American Strong Style Championship was vacant and tonight Matt Taylor would wrestle Ganger for the title. Violent Bob refused to relinquish the title going as far as to shove the commissioner. Quentin Lee fired back with a hard right and took the belt.
*Pretty Boy Jimmy Malloy hit the ring to ease Bob’s mind. He claimed to have Bob’s back from now on.
*The Chosen (Judas Thorn & Jake Omen) def. Jake Ashworth & Scotty Young, when Judas Thorn pinned Young after a power bomb.

He wanted them to know how much he loved performing for them and how he wished he could wrestle tonight. His last match will be this coming Saturday at the Pillman 08 show in Cincinnati, OH. for more info on that www.egopw.com, Gary was given a standing ovation before the Chosen tried to attack him. This brought out Quentin Lee and a group of wrestlers to keep the Chosen from attacking Gary. Quentin then got on a phone and let the crowd know an old friend was coming back tonight to take care of the Chosen and compete in the King of Extreme!
*Tag Team Champions Devlin Anderson & Dave Nevada beat The Good Ole Boys when Nevada pinned Hollins.
*Ric Byrne returned to win the 2008 King of Extreme match over Benjamin Kimera, Matt Taylor, Judas Thorn, Aaron Williams, Dustin Rayz, Dave Nevada and Matt Riot.
Order of Elimination: Nevada was eliminated over the top rope by Dustin Rayz, Matt Riot was pinned by Aaron Williams after Williams dove off the balconey onto Riot, Benjamin Kimera forced Matt Taylor to submit to the STF, Judas Thorn had Aaron Williams in the casket but the referee didn’t see, this allowed Ric Byrne to wear down the big man with a Chair and place him in the casket causing the Chosen the match.
The Final four where Dustin Rayz, Aaron Williams, Benjamin Kimera and Ric Byrne. Ric Byrne climbed to the top of the ladder to become 2008 King of Extreme. After the match, Kimera proceeded to attack the recently recovered ankle of Byrne.
*In the main event, The Big Kahuna Kenny Lucas def. WWC Heavyweight Champion Cody Hawk to win the title in a MOTY canidate.
Our next show comes to you April 12 from Decatur, OH where NEW WWC Heavyweight Champion Big Kahuna Kenny Lucas, 2008 King of Extreme Champion Ric Byrne and others will be live!!! For Last Laugh 08. $5 tickets at the door.
